Every team has their own traditions. The Sooners have a funny one. After a player hits a home run as they come into home they extend their arms sideways and wave them up and down,

That started back in 2011 after a 5-0 road loss to Texas Tech. After the loss Coach Gasso took the team aside and told them they needed to have fun on the field. She wanted the team on the field to have fun the same as the team in an airport.

A couple of players got together and decided that after their next home run they would "fly" to the plate. A Sooner softball tradition was born. This year they have "flown home" over 150 times in 57 games

OU/FSU for the championship. Both lost their first game and took the hard path.

Just fun to watch. The fans are great as well.

I was in a Hampton Inn and watched the whole game, something I have not done for a Major League baseball game in decades.

They are playing about 5 miles from my house. The place is packed.

At one point the Sooner girls had scored 49% of their points from home runs. My wife is watching it all. I keep asking if they made another touchdown or is it a hole in one?

Softball has been a part of our household for about 12 years.. between coaching league teams, travel teams, then just being a Dad in the stands watching my daughter play, its been a lot of fun.

Now we get to watch Nicole May pitch for the Sooners. My daughter caught for her on a travel team for a season, then played against her for her entire high school career. Nicole's a great kid, huge talent. She's not even batting for the Sooners, but having thrown her BP many times in the cage, I can tell you she can flat out hit as well as pitch.

Going to be a fun series.

There's a lot of people who aren't giving FSU much of a chance.

Saying they aren't very good.

We all know Oklahoma is good but regarding FSU.....any team that makes it into the finals.....how can you say they aren't that good?

I’ve been traveling a lot and seems like softball is always on at the bar. I have to agree it’s entertaining as hell, I enjoy watching it. Seems faster paced and more action than a comparable baseball game.

They list the player's height when they show their name. I think they should also list their weight....

And no pitch runners! Make 'em ALL run after they get on base.
