Any Recommendations on Flex Duct for HVAC

As part of my kitchen remodel, I am moving one ceiling vent for the AC. I pulled the old duct out of the wall and it is currently masked off and sitting in the attic. I would like to replace with flexible ducting.

I see that they sell it at Home Depot but I'm wondering if this is a good brand or are there better options. This is a simple mod as it is 8" or 10" (I need to measure) by about 10-15'. I want good quality as I am probably going to replace everything in the attic eventually. Probably going to keep the main trunk rigid and then replace all the branches with flex duct.

When I recently had an estimate for new AC, the company told me that I would have to replace my ducting to pass code as my rigid duct is wrapped with asbestos. Just out of curiosity, what does asbestos look like? This looks like the ducts are wrapped in a cardboard type paper.

I used a flex duct from HD with no issues. I think the install is important (no leaks).

Asbestos can be tested by removing some and trying to burn it, or send it to a lab. I think duct tape has asbestos in it still.

It has to be tested by a lab to verify asbestos.

Grey thin cardboard is classic description of AB. Paint it with a primer and it's as safe as ever.

When you work with it, wet it with a spritzer. That's how it's removed. If you have AB ducting in the attic it's' too late to think about a completely AB free attic space, so don't worry about it. Wear an M95 mask and you're good.

If you expose the attic space to the living space all you need is a HEPA vac and a thorough cleaning before occupying.

I have a CA cert for handling AB.
