We finished Season 2 last week. After every episode with the Council, I needed drink. Honestly, they are out to get him.

Just like any other dramocumentary, it focuses trials, tribulations and flub ups. I couldn't go on with it after S2-1.

And he was complaining about 250,000 lbs. to convert a barn to a restaurant. It would cost that to install a modest cook line in L.A. A million for a small café.

I'm not easily entertained by some fat bloke that can't operate a tractor hitch. RTFM.

Finished season 2 last night. The small village politics are pretty frustrating and the council definitely has it out for Jeremy.

What is up with the protection of TB-carrying badgers at such an expense to the farming community? The game cam footage of the population just in the dens on Diddly Squat was eye-opening and how can you not feel for the dairy farmers that lost half their herd to TB? Can't shoot, trap, or manage them in any way?

We have been watching All Creatures Great and Small on PBS. Books written by a veterinarian back in the 1930s and they focus on small English village vet clinic that services farmers that raise livestock. The author did a big push with the UK Government way back then to test cows (mainly) for TB and attempt to eradicate it.

So when we saw the badger episodes of Clarkson's show we were blown away that something like TB has been an issue in England for decades and they are impotent (self inflicted) to stop it. So the solution is to buy beef from Australia and pigs from EU countries? I could fix this in a second, kill the infected badgers. Rocket science it is not.

Planning Council are just muppets, makes me angry at the level of incompetence and trouble a few power tripping idiots can cause for someone just trying to bring jobs/support to the local community. Makes my blood boil as I pay local tax for that level of ****witery

Hopefully real men will step up and keep the shows going.

It has people talking, and watching. A good thing for Amazon.

one of these days I'll check out the rest.
It's good that it hasn't been cancelled.

They have one more episode in the can that should

Jeremy Clarkson's controversy reportedly means cancellation for Prime Video's The Grand Tour - and a quiet end to what made Top Gear famous.


The Grand Tour isn't going to be as grand as hoped for. Variety reports that due to the latest controversy surrounding Jeremy Clarkson, Prime Video has canceled both his shows after their upcoming seasons.

That means the end of The Grand Tour after Season 6 -- and after the show never quite captured the same hype that Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May attained as the hosts of Top Gear. While Clarkson's behavior was reprehensible and the fate of his series should not overshadow that, another consequence is the abrupt stop to decades of TV.

What Hammond, Clarkson and May accomplished was nothing short of stellar. They turned a respectable but workmanlike BBC motoring show into a worldwide sensation. There were multiple international versions, plus Top Gear merchandise and a Top Gear arena tour. And when that came to an end at the BBC after a different Clarkson controversy in 2015, shocked fans were sated by the idea that the three presenters and executive producer Andy Wilman would be making The Grand Tour. Now with that series seemingly over, it's like watching a favorite band break up.


While Amazon has not officially confirmed The Grand Tour's cancellation, if the streamer does terminate its relationship with Jeremy Clarkson, it's near certainly the end of an era. The Grand Tour premiered in November 2016 because Hammond, May and Wilman wanted to continue working with Clarkson rather than stay on Top Gear without him.
Just over six years later, there's no indication of that changing. Even though Hammond and May each have individual shows with Amazon, they've also always had their group project. And while history could repeat itself, any other streamer is likely to be a little more wary after Clarkson has been sacked from not one but two platforms, for good reason.

But looking strictly at the work he produced, Top Gear and later The Grand Tour both defied any kind of convention.
Clarkson, Hammond and May's Top Gear adventures were the stuff viewers could only dream of.
Ruin a drivetime radio show? Why not. Try and fail to make some amphibious cars -- twice? At least it was entertaining.
Turn one of the most ridiculous cars in the world into a space shuttle? Sure, and it almost worked.
What made them superstars weren't the fast cars, and the celebrity segments were the most boring part of the show. Fans became fans because Clarkson, Hammond and May had an incredible rapport. They got in over their heads together, failed a lot and only complained slightly because they were too busy making fun of each other.

The current incarnation of Top Gear has succeeded because it finally found three hosts with the same bromance. Paddy McGuinness, Chris Harris and Freddie Flintoff are likewise having the time of their lives. Paddy literally made a monster food truck while Freddie brought back the 1970s cop show vibe. And in some ways, their Top Gear has surpassed Clarkson, Hammond and May because they've brought their own devil-may-care optimism to the format. They've made it theirs like no one else before.

Conversely, The Grand Tour went through its growing pains, and it wasn't quite as successful but it was still fun. The scripted bits were more obvious, and instead of episodes there were just a series of specials, but that was okay because it eliminated the boring parts.
It became like going on adventures with old friends instead of new ones.
And without all the hosts, there's nothing for the series to stand on, which means that the longstanding connection the viewers built with them is also coming to an end.
Amazon viewers have James May's Our Man in Italy and Richard Hammond's The Great Escapists, but will they keep going on their solo shows or will they, too, eventually disappear from our TV screens?

It's understandable that Amazon wants to part ways with Jeremy Clarkson, given his history of controversies.
Yet it's also worth acknowledging that he, Hammond and May once brought joy to millions of viewers around the world and made car enthusiasts out of people who might never have been otherwise.
To lose that after just six seasons will be bringing to a close something special, when fans once believed The Grand Tour would likewise go on seemingly forever.

Clarkson’s Farm Season 3: Here’s what we know about it so far

The second season of Clarkson's Farm is now live on Amazon Prime Video. While the documentary has been well received, it hasn't been without any controversy, fuelling rumours that it was cancelled last month.

Will there be a Clarkson's Farm Season 3?
Currently, a third season of Clarkson's Farm is being considered.

In October of last year, the programme received a second season renewal, adding "new personalities" to Jeremy Clarkson's Chipping Norton property.

According to Variety, Clarkson won't be starring in any new series after 2024, so it's unlikely that we'll see more of the Grand Tour presenter on Prime Video in the future. This includes The Grand Tour, whose finale is anticipated to come after four further specials, the last of which is scheduled to debut in late 2024.

Release rumours for the third season of Clarkson's Farm
Even though Prime Video hasn't announced a release date for Clarkson's Farm's third season, it's probable that it will return in 2024.

The third and (presumably) final season of Clarkson's Farm will need to debut on the platform no later than next year if the rumours about its absence from Prime Video projects after late 2024 are accurate.
