w00p! got new position

Will no longer be a code monkey - will be a BOFH. Supporting the code monkeys.

Decent pay bump but not what I was expecting but at least they pushed it through today, effective pay changes tomorrow, so when July 1 hits and we get our annual raise mine will be on the new salary.

Are you allowed to say "code monkey ",these days?
Isn't the term "coding primate?"

Best

The M-word is allowed as long as there are no Librarians in the area. If one of those happens to be around you must be very careful in your distinction between apes and monkeys.

(sorry... Pratchett fan)

Congrats on the new gig. Remember, when on video calls with colleagues, avoid anything that might be considered “toobin”!

Excellent, congrats!

Yes, the pay bump for a promotion is almost never what you expect. STill, it's great that it will go into effect pretty much immediately.
