Spiralux Drill Grinding Attachment

Has anyone used a Spiralux Drill Grinding Attachment or similar? I like the idea of the thing, and thought it would be good to add one to my huge pile of tools

The General brand one looks similarly well made.

Can it be used for sharpening the edge of a shovel?

Pleased to help I haven't seen them before either. I'm surprised how well my hand held, and guessed angles, sharpening works. Blurry vision etc. So even if I use one of these badly I'll still be 10 times better than before.

Two things I remember about sharpening drill bits:

In junior high school, the metal shop teacher would sharpen the drill bits by hand on a grinding wheel and they came out perfect.

I bought a drill doctor and could not sharpen a drill bit correctly on it to save my life. Probably user error I threw it away.

Ever use a drill doctor? These are pretty simple to use and do a great job. I’ve bought 2 at work and they pay for themselves pretty quickly.

Yes.

But I'm a devil for punishment. If something is made easy for me I take the difficult route. Maybe it's like a car with an auto or a manual; I'm choosing the manual.

A930, even if I knew what I was doing, my eyesight wouldn't be up to it.

I was going to recommend a Drill Dr. I've got some deluxe model of it.
