No, never once worried or thought someone might want to stab me either
Again, sure the majority of knife deaths are again inner city ie London gang conflicts

It used to be that way here but crime will move to the suburbs and then the country. Criminals will look for easy targets in the niave suburbs next. The problem is not the choice of weapon but the sin nature of the criminal.

Totally agree, we already have a degree of this now in the UK with what is referred to as 'County Lines'

Basically it's the trafficking of drugs into rural areas and smaller towns away from major cities. Favourite method is to recruit vulnerable local kids to do the leg work

Local police are aware and do their best to keep a lid on it when not trying to find stolen farm equipment or deal with domestic call outs

Then maybe you should start worrying or, be prepared to defend yourself with whatever legal means are available. You don't want to be the first one in your neighborhood who becomes a victim and warns everyone else.

Enjoy your life. I have no anger...look inward young man.

I'll be working on solutions.

Nowhere near worrying as I refuse to live in fear and the crime situation here where I live is decades away from me having to arm myself in my own house or neighborhood

However I could build a drop down metal spiked wooden gate into our driveway entrance or maybe a hot boiling tar pouring slot might more effective just in case ;)

I grew up in a country where we felt threatened enough to lock ourselves into a secure part of the house at bedtime and where my mum wouldn't drive at night on her own.

That's not a way to live so if it ever gets like or I have to live in a secure gated neighborhood to feel safe I'll find somewhere else to live

I am happy you have that security to feel safe for now and the means to move when that changes. That said, what used to be a 'no need to lock your doors' small town is now a 'lock your doors but its not bad' town all around the southeast US. The cancer always spreads outward.
Like yourself, I refuse to live in fear but I have the means to protect myself if the unexpected and unthinkable happens. Trust everyone but count your change and lock your door.

Your first and last sentence is a contradiction.

Are you going to publicly testify in a woke state that you saw a black person commit a crime and the white person was right to shoot him? BLM and CRT have got folks thinking twice about saying anything and then be crucified for it (or targeted by the radical left).

Not so simple when the ball is in a different court with roles reversed.

For example ...

I'm posting this as fact, with no politics implied, but am open to the slight possibility of it being a misidentification in which case the real officer should have already spoken up and not let a fellow officer take the fall whatever that may be but regardless ... the color is not in question.

Is that the same weapon he left in the bathroom?

We seem to be encouraging crime here for the last year or two. Quit enforcing property crimes, and a lot of other stuff

Paul does not strike me as an angry person. I doubt if even really stupid people piss him off much, judging by his posts here
