Me too. Although her load probably helps with the height a bit. I wonder if she has lowered suspension. I haven't heard her say as much in any video.

^^^ I just finished changing my seat post on my propella...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/1125300-what-your-daily-biking-regimen.html

I measured the seat top height at 37 inches. I'm 5'9" and I can easily slide onto the saddle.

Eric Hahl 08-29-2022 12:58 PM

I've got my R1200GS seat on the low position at 35". I can get on and off now problem and flat foot but I'm 5'-11". It's a pain when I have the rear bag on there though. No swinging a leg over that.

stevej37 08-29-2022 01:07 PM

^^^
Yeah..I can see that. With a bicycle, I can swing my leg over just the saddle and then back up into it.

The only thing I notice about her mtr driving is ....she seems to be lugging the engine a lot?

Eric Hahl 08-29-2022 01:14 PM

Yes, she's not typically aggressive with the throttle.

stevej37 09-16-2022 12:54 PM

I haven't seen half of her episodes yet.
Of the ones I have seen...this one has the most fantastic views during her journey.

I'm all caught up on the Alaska journey. She's in Canada now. Just waiting for new episodes to be released. Watching some of the older stuff. Her camera, sound, and editing skill have come a long way.

stevej37 09-16-2022 02:16 PM

Where does she fit that drone into all her other luggage on the bike?

Also...she must spend hours editing the drone videos and the ones from her helmet cam and selfie stick.

Eric Hahl 09-16-2022 02:24 PM

The drone is stored in a pack on the back of the bike. It's small. All the go pro batteries and such are in her tank bag.

Her equipment list...

^^^ Thanks for that link.
I just started reading it....explains a lot.

A lot of smaller Youtubers outsource their editing to countries in a favorable time-zone.

I’m 5’7” and have no issues on the same one she rides. With sag it’s probably 32-33”

stevej37 10-17-2022 11:57 AM

Ok..I'm on season 6, episode 125
Enjoying her travels.

My question is...how does she get the drone camera shots while riding??

Follow me feature. Simple as that. The drone tracks your wearable signal.

TimT 10-17-2022 12:51 PM

Some drones have a follow mode.. fly it to the distance and elevation you want... and it follows the controller

stevej37 10-17-2022 12:58 PM

The drone tech has changed so fast...and I haven't followed it like I should have.
I didn't know that (follow me) was possible.

Thanks for the answers.

I'm still wondering how she deals with fuel availability. Obviously she does but...

3.4 Gallon tank, avg 75 mpg. She may carry more in a gas bottle.

stevej37 10-18-2022 09:53 AM

^^^ Which brings me to my next complaint....lol
I wish she would talk in miles instead of kilometers. Every time she states how far she has to go...I am trying to convert to miles in my head.

I really wish we were taught the metric system better in school and converted everything over to it.

I know...my problem.:)
