Ive been watching Itchy Boots. She is very likeable. I love her sense of adventure. Seems to have no fear. I just do not think I could go to Iran for any reason. She is also making killer money for doing what she likes. I may not watch every bit but I will watch a lot.

Watching her adventures has got me interested in dual sport riding again. I started out riding dual sport and then several of us moved into MX/GP which got kinda serious for a while. After 6 years and a few too many ambulance rides I decided to find a different sport.

We moved to Idaho last year and this place is loaded with BLM fire roads, logging roads, and former rail beds making up several backcountry discovery routes and loops. The same is true in OR, MT, WY, CO and I think it would be a hoot to take a light weight dual sport bike and explore some of these loops with friends. Stay backpacker light, plan to stay in motels mostly with meals and fuel stops in small towns, and keep it simple with a few days here, a week there. My brother says if I do it, he's in. I have no interest in crossing continents but simply getting back out there would be great fun.

Just finished watching season 6 episode 142
A great episode....some very interesting facts and videos about an old copper mill in Alaska.

Idaho has excellent dual sport riding. We did the Idaho BDR there a few years ago. Did about 10 days of riding and there was plenty more to do. We did a mix of camping and motels. Great time.

About 1/2 way into season 3. Like a great geography class.

She is doing a final episode on youtube now, in real time.

^^^ Thanks...a very good recap.
Ending with the Polar Bear Challenge.

A tough gal.

I think this needs to happen next season. Hopefully the economic markets will settle out some and I can find a decent bike for not too much $$. I love KTM performance but I really just want a simple reliable bike to play this game. Probably Hon/Yam/Suz for the 1st year and evaluate.

I am still on season 5. In Namibia now. She is amazing. New meaning to the saying, no fear.

A Woman in Full.

What a journey.

At the end of season 6, she mentioned that future episodes will be different than the prior ones.
Less filming while traveling and more time at featured locations.

She was in a rush to get to the Artic before winter slams the door shut. I wonder where she went after Deadhorse? Probably back to Fairbanks, sold/shipped the Honda, and took a flight to some place warm.

stevej37 11-16-2022 01:24 PM

^^^ I was wondering the same.
I can't blame her....it would be a brave trip even in a car.

stevej37 12-02-2022 03:02 AM

Watched season 5..episode 14 last night. She took the Sani Pass in South Africa.

How she made it without dumping the 250 Honda...I'll never know.
She had to be crazy for not turning back. A very brave lady.

^^^ I watched it this afternoon.
I had to laugh because of all she has gone through with the Honda's....and then this!

otto_kretschmer 12-12-2022 12:32 PM

I thought she was going someplace warm after Alaska. Montana is warmer than Deadhorse but not the Bahamas.
