Military law and camps.

Cuomo, who had earlier called on the Army Corps of Engineers to start erecting field hospitals, said he will be speaking later Wednesday with a rep for the Corps about expanding existing facilities and refurbishing new spaces to deal with the lack of hospital beds.

Dude...concentration camps in other words....

No, it's not.

That starts with division and scapegoating.

It does not start with something that can't discriminate between affiliations or loyalties.

That's just ****ing stupid.

Am I the only one who sees empty hotels as a possible place for temporary Covid-19 care?

A possibility. A lack of support equipment will be a problem. I do like your thinking.

I don't think you're implying for severe cases, but for moderate cases. It is a good idea.

And "Joe Bob": just cut it out.

No, small motels could be used as well.

I've heard cruise ships are being considered as a "hospital" option.

The governor of kalifornia has already instructed companies that are critical to security etc. to issue letters to all essential employees that allows them to pass through checkpoints and roadblocks.
I have one sitting right in front of me.
Why TF do you suppose he would do that?

This is a direct quote from it:

Quote:
"Therefore, as authorized, it is requested that employee entry into these secured areas during any declared state of emergency be permitted under the following conditions:

AUTHORIZATION PROCEDURE:
1. Entry through this checkpoint/roadblock has been deemed safe
2. Employee Identification confirmation:
  • valid driver's license
  • company photo identification
3. This letter is displayed on the dashboard of employee's vehicle
IOW, we have "PAPERS" and I'm not even an employee, just a consultant on retainer. May we see your papers sir?

Not that it's not a valid option, but in light of the recent coronavirus/cruise ship issues, it's kind of funny and terrifying.

Joe...that's horribly inappropriate. C'mon man. I know you're shooting for effect, but, poor form, my friend.

And no, battling an actual virus that cares nothing about race, religion or any other human brain choice, is NOTHING like that. It just wants a host.

This, coming from me, a Navy guy. I still cringe at some of the jokes we made underway.

Do better. Now is not the time to take those risks.

And I'd absolutely go aboard the Comfort.

A commercial cruise line? No way in hell.

Naval ship full of Nurses? Hells yeah!

Man that looks ominous. I think a healthy person would die if you put them in a room there for two weeks. Nevermind a sick person.
