I'd sink a bunch of rebar into the ground, various heights, 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 feet and put those put those babies on the tops of the rebar.

My neighbors aren't that fond of my yard, btw.

My nephew works at Brunswick. I'll ask him what the two grooves cut into the balls were for.

Those are cracks from differences in temperature. If someone stores a bowling ball in the garage for any length of time it will likely crack.

finger holes are drilled after the customer buys the ball.

My old boss's basement was full of bowing balls he had to clear out i never got the story on them. Vintage bowling balls go for good money on ebay now. Before the pandemic anyway. Even the basic alley balls were

After looking closer, they are not from temp cracking them. Look small for traditional bowling balls, wonder what they weigh? Odd to say the least.

Yup. Built one as an exercise with my kids a few years back. Requires a lot of weight to get decent distance but it’s great fun...
