If you havent caught it fantabulous! And i genuinely mean that! Long haul sux bigly but one deals with it. Know that as it evolves you can't let your guard down, vax or no vax. We're not out of this just yet.

Not citing the Lancet ?

I’m going to make a suggestion to folks who can’t figure out what media is credible and what is fake.

Start reading the financial media. Not Fox Business. Read the sources that professional investors read. Bloomberg, WSJ, Financial Times, etc. Other professional level sources if you have access. Stuff that costs money to read. Their audience is well informed, is looking for accurate and detailed data, uses it to make money, not interested in entertainment, and won’t tolerate bullcrap.

This I know.

Are you vaccinated yet?

If not, why not?

Arizona_928 08-12-2021 08:40 PM

Yet remdesivir saved so many lives. Lol open your brain dude.
Which country had the highest death rate? Spoiler. It wasn't the cheeseburgers.

Baz 08-13-2021 02:08 PM

Anyone know if all hospital employees are required to have vaccinations? I guess it may vary with hospital but seems like the hospital would make that a requirement, wouldn't they?

Tobra 08-13-2021 02:52 PM

Baz, some hospitals are, some plan to, and it is going to create a problem. Technically you can't mandate an investigational drug. FDA will approve and it will be mandated for all, soon.

There are a lot of people who can look at what is transpiring and understand what it means. Those are the "vaccine hesitant" people thay will be pariahs in the apartheid state we are creating

Yes they can. The courts have ruled time and time again that they can mandate the vaccines as long as they allow religious and medical exemptions.

SCOTUS just tossed the Indiana University suit.

https://www.businessinsider.com/supreme-court-denies-appeal-to-halt-indiana-university-vaccine-mandate-2021-8

The Supreme Court on Thursday denied a request by a group of students to block Indiana University's vaccine requirement for students.

The decision allows the university to enforce its mandate that students be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to return to campus and attend in-person classes in the fall.

Justice Amy Coney Barrett, who serves as the circuit justice for the federal appeals court involved in the case, made the decision to reject the students' request without taking up the case or consulting other justices, suggesting there was not much legal justification for the request. She did not provide an explanation for her decision.

So the federal government can't mandate an investigational drug, but everyone else can, that is curious.

No explanation eh? She must be talking to Roberts

Since May 14 they stopped counting breakthrough cases unless they were hospitalized or severely ill. Unjabbed uses a far less restrictive standard, positive test, symptomatic or not

I wonder why they would do that

Example of investigational drug?

She didn't need to give an explanation because it is within the law to mandate the vaccine.

Forget the vaccine and use Degeneron like Trump did - It is DeSantis Approved!

Regeneron works very well. It costs about $3000 per dose. Still less than a few days in the hospital.

Degeneron might be equally effective within the target audience.

thor66 08-13-2021 03:54 PM

It also alliterates with De santis.

Baz 08-13-2021 04:58 PM

Thanks for the replies.

The reason I asked about the vaccine being required for medical facilities is with all the lecturing to us that the vaccine is safe and needed and we should follow the science....why wouldn't it be required of every medical facility? After all....they are the ones who deal with science and they are the ones who are most involved with the positive aspects of the vaccine.

I mean - I hope they are still allowed to make their own decision. But seems a bit hypocritical or a double-standard type deal. Lecturing us - do as we say - not what we do.

Doesn't it?

javadog 08-13-2021 05:15 PM

I read something recently that indicated that 60% of doctors are not fully vaccinated.

The only survey that I have seen was an AMA survey from June with only 301 surveyed. Not enough.

https://www.ama-assn.org/press-center/press-releases/ama-survey-shows-over-96-doctors-fully-vaccinated-against-covid-19

CHICAGO — The American Medical Association (AMA) today released a new survey (PDF) among practicing physicians that shows more than 96 percent of surveyed U.S. physicians have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19, with no significant difference in vaccination rates across regions. Of the physicians who are not yet vaccinated, an additional 45 percent do plan to get vaccinated.
