This is not to say that masks can not have some affect, but it can be like wearing a bike helmet skydiving... chute fails but the helmet will not do enough to save you. That is, masks apparently make people feel safer than the level of safety provided. Clearly this is not an easy concept for binary thinkers. They be all "it works or is doesn't. But everyone knows that they work. The govt wouldn't lie to us." |

The unvaccinated aren't a threat to the vaccinated, they're a threat to themselves and as such we react to them to prevent an overburdening of the medical/social systems and the geometric progressions of deaths and ripple affects, before even considering the kids under 12 who CAN'T be vaxxed regardless of their parents leanings, we are "compelled" to societally save them (and us footing the bill) from themselves. This is just a small, fine point of the whole issue. Point I'm trying to make to you is that it's not that they are themselves a threat, it's their inactions that threaten not us as persons, but our ability to enjoy a normal life. Go ahead and queue up the "Dont Tread On Me" mantra. If you want to argue a point, at least argue the correct one. Not a Fox News screen crawl. |
You are being kind to him

"Natural infection also conveys both "N" (nucleocapsid) and "S" (spike) antibody knowledge and T-cell recognition but the "N" knowledge is much stronger as coronaviruses have evolved to evade the immune system with the "S" portion through millions of years. This is why they can infect you in the first place. The "S" portion undergoes mutation at a quite-rapid rate while the "N" portion is conserved. It was thus expected that prior infection would lead to durable (years to decades) of resistance and indeed that's exactly what we have found thus far. Indeed in a small study it was found that this recognition extended to the bone marrow in a large percentage of cases and in those people is likely to confer decades-long if not lifetime protection. This is not true for "S" induced immunity as it wanes rapidly and, far worse that is where the mutation is taking place and thus where escape risk lies." Interesting. Anti-N tests look for antibodies that recognise a molecule inside the virus called the nucleocapsid (N). These are only produced if you have caught COVID-19 previously, and show natural immunity. Anti-S tests detect antibodies against the spike protein (S) on the surface of the virus. Because COVID vaccines are based on the spike protein, anti-S tests detect antibodies produced both through natural infection and vaccination. |

Are you thinking that stomping around while building those straw men before hulking them apart make you right about something? Sheesh, what a POS. (since we're throwing insults around) |

As masking went up so did the rate of infection? What the hell are you saying here? This train of thought is stunning. Show me some numbers that actually show a correlation between the two. |

Name calling is not allowed here nor in PARF. Argue the points without resorting the flinging poo at someone else. Thanks. |
I once knew a woman who said that she could turn Gandhi into a wife beater. Island911 could turn the pope into Triumph the insult dog...he's that much of a prick and a troll online.

Some have commented on the CDC's messaging. I think the messaging should be to refer to the unvaccinated as "the Infected" and vaccinated referred to as uninfected. Make long lists of places and activities that the infected are not allowed to attend because they are infected. Maybe some animation with the infected being shown with corona virus cells for heads....you get the drift.
I know infected is not totally accurate, be we are talking messaging and getting a point across. |

Meanwhile…the infection rate went up dramatically consistent with mask use. Now we see the infection rate rapidly going up along side the increasing vaccination rate.
Gee…whatever happened to things like science? And math? Once the Fauci-lovers mantra. Now, despite the science (data), it’s become all emo. Shut up and get the shot…while wearing your little paper mask…and quit asking questions! So much for science. |

Well, that was just as helpful as you can get, Paul. So much value in those comments.
Oh wait... Quote:
No, like Paul Woody ^there, I shut down some of your "arguments" and in your case that has you lashing out with what you think is your mighty pimp hand. (Paul doesn't even have a pimp hand thought. - just lashes out petulantly) Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate your colorful way of putting things. But what is ugly is your childish simplistic groaning with school-yard insults when you can't concede points. Oh, and obviously I have enough visibility here... people do not need to be advised by your petulant butt-hurt propaganda. -Some here are informed/entertained by what I post, others not. -imagine my shock- But what most everyone loathes are the low-brow poo-flinging posts. |
^^^Classic example of nothing of value. LOL!

Unfortunate that CDC doesn't widely report outcome data segregated between vax and non-vax persons. Would help inform some misguided people.
Some individual jurisdictions do report that way. San Diego tracks infections by vax status, and http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1628003733.jpg |
