Howard passed away...

Really, really sad. I thought I would open a new thread since maybe not all are checking the sticky every day. I did not check it yesterday because I thought that not much new was happening.

Major condolences for a real "mensch" and great guy.

Damn. That shows you one needs to live out life's fullest every day. I never had the pleasure to meet Howard although I'm sure we stood on the same real estate once or twice.

Very sorry to hear this sad news and my condolences to family and friends.

PS, this also shows that you need to not pass up the opportunity to meet someone. I know I could have pushed a little harder and sought him out to at least shake hands. He posted some great threads and pics about Mulholland as he stood and watched some of the crazies go by. Howard enjoyed our sport and our passion.

God bless.

We met at the WCC '05 914 gathering at Streets.

He was surprised and pleased that I was willing to drive so far for the last day of a car club event.
He really made me feel welcome.

I was looking forward to meeting him again.

Howard was a pleasant person to talk to, and he had a great sense of humor. Who can forget the ferrari enzo hose?

I will not morn his passing. I will instead be thankful that I had the pleasure of knowing him and sharing his company a few times, and enjoying reading his posts here and on the 914 boards.

The Enzo hose. Good stuff. Thanks for the memory. Truly a fun guy. Sorry to post twice on this.

Oh, for those that missed it, Howard lived near PCH in Malibu and was on the scene of the "Dietrich" Enzo crash. He got a souvenir.

I was shocked to see this. I met Howard by chance (well, we worked in the same area and his 914 does have "Howard Agency" on it) and we chatted for a few minutes. I have also had the pleasure to be on one or two drives with him and thought that he was very nice and had a funny sense of humor. My condolences to the family.

Dave
