I think Bryce is a lot longer than a 2 hour drive. It is spectacular. Zion is about 2 1/2. Tourists have been packing the NP this summer.

Every time I've been there....the highlight of the trip has been people-watching.
What a strange place!

Valley of Fire and Bryce are beautiful; VoF is an easy 30-45 minute drive depending on whether you're downtown vs. south Strip and has really easy, beautiful, and well-marked trails. Bryce is awesome, weather should be really pleasant there. I can wholly recommend the horseback trail rides there, too. Great way to see lots of the canyon you'd otherwise have to hike 5-6 hours on your own. Another spot I'd highly recommend is Kolob Canyons; it's right off I-15 (exit 40, I think). I'm pretty sure it's actually part of Zion NP. Easy to get to, not a long drive really. Plus you get to drive through the Virgin River canyon on the way to/from -- very scenic. I'm also a really big fan of the Neon Museum, maybe eight blocks north of Fremont. Reserve a time at/after sunset to really appreciate the signs. And if they're offering a human-guided tour (rather than the listen-to-descriptions-on-your-phone self-guided tour), jump on that. The docents there are awesome, and I learned an awful lot about the history of Las Vegas that you just won't get anywhere else. Finally you might consider the Lion Habitat Ranch, a few blocks from the M Casino. Not a place you can spend the whole day, but it's pretty interesting and worth about 2 hours' entertainment. Let me know if there's anything specific you're interested in, I might have a suggestion or two.

Do this.
BTW, Death Valley is close as well. Incredible roads. Go through Shoshone. Bring water. You will not regret it.

Time it right
You might see the game being played at a much higher level than in your home town..
It's been rumored that high stakes money matchups happen from time to time. ; https://griffslv.com/

The only thing I ever think to do in Vegas is shake my head at how depressing a place it is. All these people mesmerized by fake illusions of beauty and wealth. Absurd dreams.
People sucked in in their weakest motivations. Most depressing place on the planet outside of Afghanistan (?) |

Hear about the guy that went to Vegas in a $60,000 Cadillac and came home in a $250,000 Greyhound bus?

You know how to recognize a hot woman in Pahrump? She's the one with more teeth than tattoos.
