I have never been in a stock Porsche that had adequate AC other than a Cayenne. Of course, the Cayenne is the only water cooled I have ridden in.

^^^^ Don't make me reinstall the A/C on mine just to prove a point !

It's all relative .... the A/C on my F150 sucks too .... if I was to actually use it .

My wife's Macan is magical with AC. She was out running errands and came home with a vehicle at full temperature, and she parked in the driveway. 15 minutes later, she decided I was needed to help her get yet another item. She started the Macan, and we started down the driveway and it was blowing COLD air on my face before we got to the street. I kicked on the seat air conditioning and had cool air on my back. Just mind blowing.

At the introduction of the 996 model 911 years ago they had a 996 out front and let people take it for a test drive. They were all club members, and they all drove like I did, hammer down, run hard and then return and let it sit and idle as the drivers changed out. It was blowing ice cold air and the engine temp was dead normal. It was my first drive in a water cooled 911. I was impressed.

My understanding is the 964 and 993 had good AC. As I have never owned one, and I have no first hand experience with that I can't verify it.

The AC on my 1986 El Camino works great. It is 100% factory stock, except for a fan I added to the condenser for when I am stopped and applying the brakes. Back in the days when I commuted it would sit in full sun all day in the summer 100+ degree days. I get in and it was 130 degree inside. Crank up AC to MAX cold and blow. Within 60 seconds I was cooling off, and my commute was 12 minutes to home. In that 12 minutes it got cold, and often I could not keep it on full cold because I was getting cold. 38 degree air, and lots of it. It is the very same system they put in the Station Wagon. With the two person cabin of the Elky, it is a killer AC system. I love it.

I have replaced the blower motor, condensors, hoses, and evap with modern Kuel parts in my 930. A good bit of work. Ac now works well enough to be tolerable in the summer.

Its an old car I don't need s-class AC but I can't sit in a 130 deg F green house either. Unfortunately I have hardly driven the car since that project.
