Bicycle service stand
I didn't find anything in search. It's time for me to invest in one. I've seen DIY plans but for the money and effort I think I'll just buy one.
Any of you guys have one brand that you'd recommend? tia some of the links here no worky https://www.gearhungry.com/best-bike-repair-stand/

They have a few different models which I think mainly allows larger/heavier bikes. I've had this for more than 10 years.

I've never seen any improvement on what Park offers, oftentimes the "improvements" that other manufacturers attempt are awful.
Second vote for Park consumer stand

Tough to beat the Park pictured above. Years of service with no issues.

![]() I have this one and like it a lot. I personally think it is much better (more stable) then the Park stand. What ever you so, get a tool tray with the stand unless you have a bench nearby to put down a small bolt or two. |

My second job out of college was working in a bike shop. I want one of those old school Park stands, with the heavy steel plate. They'll pop up used every once in a while, but usually far away from me. |

Clamping carbon is fine. I sometimes clamp onto my carbon frame just don't get carry away and crank down too hard. Seat post is fine or use a rag. There's no need to clamp down a bike that hard unless a bottom bracket needs to be removed nothing else. How often does that happen? If so, turn bike upside down on the floor and have a go at it. Tricks learned working at a bike shop back in high school.

I’ve been clamping on my carbon top tube for years without a problem. Then I heard that wasn’t good, so I tried the seat tube, but it is almost too short, so I went back to the top tube and like Look said above, just don’t crank it down.

it was a total nuisance. - i basically gave it away. |

If I had the wall space my first choice would be a wall mount in the garage but I have zero space left unfortunately.

I have the “bike hand“ that several other people have mentioned in this thread. I think it is every bit as good as the park stand. Will even hold my wife’s 60 pound electric bike.

I was wondering if that was for his pit crew to aim at the brakes of the Porsche after hot laps?
