I agree with a lot of the albums already listed. But, this one I found to be surprisingly good. My wife said that she wanted a copy of it, of course I obliged. We listened to it together and I came away really appreciating the album and the artist.

Future Nostalgia - Dua Lipa

For those of you not familiar with her work, she did a few of the tracks on a Tiny Desk (Home) session

What's the average age here? 70+ perhaps?

Actually, it would be interesting to see an age distribution chart.

One that probably none of you have heard, is Epic Forest, by Rare Bird. Give it a listen, it's on You Tube and other sites.
Also, just about any Nick Drake album. Although there are only 4 I think.

I saw it Live at Grand Valley U. in the early 70's. Best show I've ever seen.

I agree!
Especially when taken in context, following their third album, War.
War was their breakout success and it would have been so easy (and understandable) to continue on the “arena anthem rock” path.
Instead they basically threw that out and reinvented themselves, as they were just getting started. Took a lot of courage and self-belief.

Rumours comes pretty darn close to perfection, with "Oh Daddy" being the weak link.

Damn.......

Never saw Genesis with PG. Without yes, PG also, Hackett is a yearly act around here with his "regenesis".

My tastes are a bit eclectic, and I agree with putting Dark Side at/near the top of the list, but here is my list (with order that changes as my mood changes):

I am a bit surprised by the lack of jazz on these lists. "Kind of Blue" is immortal, and lots of people have heard tracks from Brubeck's "Take Five" even if they don't realize it. Any of the "Live at the Blue Note" recordings by Oscar Peterson & band are just amazing (as in "how did he do that?").

And it not just older stuff. In recent years Markus Miller has done some great stuff and "We Are" (John Batiste's latest - released in 2021) is really good.
