Wolf has all kinds of replacement parts. If the factory doesn't have it any longer, independents do. The are a lot of Wolfs in service that are 50+ years old. I have a 1976 and just had the grates re-porcelained. IDK how anyone managed to ruin that in that it had to be red hot for porcelain.
Melt the pan off Buy a grate on eBay with drip pan. Sell it to me. |

I would also think that your existing one is reparable. Unless you have really expensive hydro or are limited on you electrical panel induction are definitely worth looking at, pretty sure Thermador and Bosch have models made in the USA, really are the same company. The only snag I see with induction is if you like to slide a cast iron pan around on one, pretty sure the surface would scratch eventually but do not see any scratches on ours after three years.

All induction - all of the way.
Gas is for the backyard grill and wokburner. I've worked with induction heating for >25y industrially. I understand it. I love it. ... and yet I giggle when I use it on the stove at home. Probably more that most I get the science but still it's "cooking with magic"! Blew my mind ten years or so ago when a friend first put a few sheets of newspaper down before cooking bacon - back in the stone ages, especially with pilot lights and gas, I'd have had a whoopin' if I even brought a newspaper in the kitchen, much less near the stove.

![]() It's mine, not the wife's. 48" Jenn-Air. The hood has it's own 12" vent. The pot filler is nice but it splashes on smaller pans. And I wish that I had added a filter. If I don't use it for a month I will run a few large pots to the lawn to rinse the line The two outer burners are 20,000 btu far back center goes down to 500 which is great for sauces and rice. I don't use the electric griddle much. There's no way to clean what might nake its way down the seams. Yuck! So I use it as a warmer for sides or breads

I put a custom cutting board on my griddle. It's a gas griddle and takes 30 minutes to come up to an even temperature. Plus, it's PITA as Jim says. But it does make a great warming/holder during large event meals such as holidays. And being situated much the same as yours, anything but pancakes makes a mess out of everything close by. Not worth the trouble. Alas, the so called cutting board has become a parking spot for all things spice related — even the salt and pepper.
It's a waste and when the opportunity arises, I will convert the area into 2 more burners. But, as I said, junk Wolf's go for a grand, and that's too much money just to part out. At 400 lbs. not fun to move either. |

The cutting board I made for the grddle. It sits near the stove. The hot burner is too hot and has delaminated the cutting board

I believe it's Theramdore that offers you to pick what burner goes where. I would rather have 8 burners than 6 and a grill or 6 and a griddle. I would want two of the hottest in line so you can have a large iron griddle to have equal heat. I use a 15000 and 20000 and try to keep the heat equal. I use a pyrometer to check. And yes I have had all burners, griddle and both ovens going on several holidays. The heat in the kitchen can get to you. We have a whole house fan and the hood it's been 50° outside and I will have the whole house fan sucking out the heat in the kitchen with a window open. Joanna has the heat on in the house and I'm sweating
