Question Anyone else having a problem getting logged out after 30 minutes?

This started happening right after the forum got repaired last week.

I've always stayed logged in, but now I keep getting kicked out.

I sent Eric a PM on it, but in the meantime wondering if it's happening to anyone else.

I have cleared my cache and cookies - but no change.

Thanks!

Here's my laundry list of what is broken, for me, a little before (clearly someone was mucking about a few days before) and since the forum meltdown

I can only be logged in by clicking my 911 Classifieds toolbar bookmark. Once I click that, i can click around and be logged in. Haven't check to see if I get logged out but probably do over time like Baz

If I click an email link, even if I am logged in, I get to the new window and thread post in the link but I am not logged in on that page

I think that's it

Probably because you guys are unvaccinated.

J/K, I've had the same problem on my work computer (Windows) but not my laptop (Mac).

For years I just clicked on my favorites and I was logged in. Now I have to log in every time I visit, and even when I say remember me, it doesn't remember me.

It has been that way for me since I joined PP. Never thought it was anything to complain about.

It has happened to me in the past, though not since the site problem. Tablet and a phone.

This is me, as well.

Desktop with Firefox.

It has never happened to me. Using Firefox browser with uBlock Origin if that makes a difference.

The problem has not gone away. I've cleared all my history and have the latest Firefox update. Have re-started a few times. Not having this issue with two other forums I frequent, so I conclude it has to be something with Pelican.

I sent another PM to Eric, so maybe he and his team can figure it out. No way should I be getting logged back out the way I am. No way. Something is haywire.....

That's interesting. When I click Pete's link to Technical, I stay logged in when I get over there. But when I click on a new post link in email to a Technical forum thread, I get there not logged in. Same with all email clicks.

Still, only way for me to be logged in is to click my Classifieds menu bar link in Firefox and then I can click around to get to a thread like this one and post.

Maybe it's a Firefox thing.

I don't get logged out. But if I open Chrome and go directly to search it doesn't know who I am and asks me to log in. I goto the forums then back and then it knows who I am. Doesn't worry me, just mentioning it to help with solving the mystery.

I have to log back in every time on my iPad but not my iPhone. Been that way for the past few months. I thought it was in my settings or something…….

Baz, have you asked Eric to look at this thread? I don't want to bombard him or other Pelican staff when my problem might be slightly different than yours, and others, so this thread is good for one person to see problems many of us are having.

Thanks for posting about this.
