Just watched the magnificent 7 again...

Why do gunslingers return the pistol to the holster butt forward then twist down? Is it not foul the trigger and blow off a round or just because "they can"?

How the hell can Robert Vaughn keep so clean?

Because it’s all fake.

The real Magnificent 7 used swords.

Just another Hollywood invention that is not based on reality. Like guns that rattle when moved around. Or knives that swoosh with every move.

Kinda like a TV cop firing their weapon rapidly but the muzzle never moves.

Or a long gun battle in a small room, then have a conversation and they can hear just fine. No bleeding ears. And every single bad guy in the universe can't hit the good guys even with multiple machine guns and 10,000 rounds.

Yea I understand the main charterer has to survive until the end of the movie, but why are all bad guys or henchmen as bad of a shot as Star Wars Storm Troopers?

Or shooting out the tires of the car in front, with your left hand out the window while driving with your right hand...

You live near I-10. You just haven't been practicing enough. It does get harder if you're trying to do the same to the car behind you, but still, Houston traffic offers plenty of chance for practice.

< edit >

It's statements like that even when done in green that occasionally make me chuckle and a little nervous.

I can't for the life of me remember his name, it's on the tip of my tongue, but we had a guy on the 911 Tech board years ago that was a member of the "SCWDP" (911 SC World Domination Plot) and in the military. He changed jobs, and had to get increased security clearance. As part of one of the interviews for the clearance, they brought up his "membership" in the "SCWDP."

That would have been Leland Pate...I miss him here. A very funny & bright young guy.
He was air force EOD.

That evil SCWDP needs to be crushed by the superior 3.2 Carrera.

The 3.2L cars knew that they had nothing to prove, so they were quiet and sat back. No reason to burst the SC cars' bubbles by proving what everyone already knew.

I remember back around the same time as the SCWDP, someone said that 911SCs were doctor cars so we all started calling each other doctor.

Someone here evidently wasn't in on the joke and asked one of us for medical advice.
That was the end of it.

Yep, Leland. I had the "Le..." but my brain wasn't releasing the rest of his name.

I think he got out and was in the private sector, but I don't remember what he was doing. I think he was building ARs too

At one PCA meeting a new local member (a CPA) asked me about his SC and I told him the engine management was totally different than my setup. I suggest he find Pelican Parts tech forum and they will have answers to anything about his 911 SC.

At the next meeting he asked about the SCWDP and I guess he had not understood it was all in fun. The man's wife was there and I explained it this way. We all love our air cooled 911 and agree they are the prefect car, and we needed something to argue about as always agreeing gets boring. So the SCWDP was formed so the 3.2 Carrera folks could scoff and have a good time making fun of the SC. The SCWDP had silly arguments and were always wishing they had a Carrera. Of course the husband was about to extol the wonders of the SC and I his wife understood and knew I was just joking. She cut him off and said "he is joking!" and I think the guy understood. He was a literal thinker.
