Changed the oil in a small engined motorscooter? |
|
Interestingly, that is pretty close to how I drain the oil from the MFI pump on my car. Instead of the turkey baster, though, I use a big syringe. Long hose just like that, snaked in the upper right rear square cover on the governor mechanism, until I can feel it go down past the fly weights. I only have to do this because I isolated the MFI pump from the engine oil supply, like the RSR's and such. I used to use a gear oil plunger pump many years ago, but the big syringe is actually easier and cleaner. Early version (like 15 years ago) of my 3.0, before I upped the compression and twin plugged it: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1633024920.jpg |

Changed the oil in the bike you bought a while back? You have to admit, this is a funny crowd. Best Les |

Oil change. Overfilled and pulled out a quart. |

Topped up the antifreeze and changed the oil in anticipation of the long winter. Many times I watched my Dad do the same thing. The way the little balls floated when you got the antifreeze mix correct seemed like magic to my young self. Still does, actually. |
