If someone comes in for a transplant and they drove in they should not get the kidney either because they have a greater chance of death from land transport accidents. at age 55-64 accidents are 14.3 Covid deaths are 9.7

I had no more reaction than if I had been stuck with a small needle from sewing basket. Vaccines work. They rid the world of polio and small pox and make measles and mumps a non threat along with lots of other bad diseases. Some people died from small pox vaccinations, but BILLIONS of humans are alive now because of that vaccine.

Some also refuse the shot because they already had COVID and believe the natural immunity from that will protect them, which does have some scientific backing in proving better at preventing the variants from infecting them.

So, after reading the whole thread and the cocktail of drugs they take after surgery, would the shot really have any bearing on this since it seems the whole immune system gets pretty much wiped?

Just asking since I don't know anyone that has gone through this and survived. (diabetic guy getting a new pancreas, died in surgery is the only transplant person I personally knew).

Apparently you don't know that transplant recipients have to be put on immunosuppression drugs to keep the body from attacking the foreign organ. People on immunosuppression drugs need to avoid even the common cold.

IOW, they are high risk for a hell of a lot more than the Chynah Virus. Even with a CV vaccine (that does not have durability) they can still be killed by the Chynah Virus.

And THEN, when the vax'd organ recipient dies from CV you will say, yeah, but they were in bad shape anyway... not the vaccines fault.

Calcineurin Inhibitors: Tacrolimus and Cyclosporine
Antiproliferative agents: Mycophenolate Mofetil, Mycophenolate Sodium and Azathioprine
mTOR inhibitor: Sirolimus
Steroids: Prednisone
