Emails last forever....

Yep he's been canceled.
So basically these days, if you offend anyone of a particular group, no matter what "group" it is, or if you express an opinion that goes against the status quo of the "woke" crowd, then you are evil and canceled.
I don't know what all this guy said, but damn, no one is perfect and I'm pretty sure that anyone could dig up just about anything on anybody if they really wanted too and just cancel everything!!! Sooner or later things cancel out each other right?

No way. Your knee jerk reaction to blame the media without even knowing the facts doesn't fly this time. He got caught calling, among others, the commissioner, his bosses boss, all kinds of derogatory stuff. Try that at any company and see if you keep your job.

So I take it anyone using the "N" word in the locker room will now get a 3 game suspension?

Where can you see the actual emails? I've done a little searching and haven't seen them.

Oh whatever, did I say anything about the media? I think not! The guy resigned before he could be fired. So, he cancelled himself before actually being cancelled, my bad!!! [emoji22]

The emails were uncovered in the NFL’s investigation into Washington’s workplace misconduct.

Among the disgusting comments made by Gruden were directed towards NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, calling him a "f****t" and a “clueless anti football pussy.” He further took aim at Goodell, saying that he should not have pressured former Rams head coach Jeff Fisher into drafting “queers,” which is in reference to Michael Sam being selected in the seventh-round in 2014’s NFL Draft.

Gruden also made comments about players kneeling during the national anthem, saying in an email that former NFL player Eric Reid should be fired for demonstrating.

Ed Droste, co-founder of Hooters, sent a sexist meme of a female referee to both Gruden and Allen in an email, to which the now-former Raiders head coach replied, “nice job Roger.” Gruden also sent topless photos of women, one of the photos included two cheerleaders for Washington."

So what's the right outcome in your world? He should keep his job, his comments and emails are overblown?

You can say those things when emailing your brother but when you're a well know coach in the NFL that is trying to clean up their image you can only blame yourself. Good luck finding another job in front of a camera.

Gruden worked for a private company that belongs to a private enterprise that has done very well attracting a very wide audience, especially women.

He had to go. If he worked for me I'd fire him.

The thing that surprises me is ESPN: They knew, they had to, but Chuckie was popular.

Private yes but with a very diverse and public audience. Like all media outlets, if he made people watch them then all can be overlooked until it's made public.

Never thought much of him as a coach. I have a hard time believing no one knew about his POV or intolerance but looked the other way because it is all about ratings. Once exposed, he knew his time was limited.

I get it, I really do: How many News Anchors, Opinion Hosts, movie types have shot their own d$cks off after years of being enabled because they had a fan base?

Any one who has run a large or small commercial company, a government programs or belonged to either knows the drill.

In my life, I have done all three: I insist in zero tolerance in two specific areas: Sexual harassment and racism expressed verbally or in print/email on computers I own or the government does.

The difference is, I know tracers work both ways...no one group has cornered the market on either: Women can be just as piggish as men, all ethnicities have f'd up opinions about other groups.

He pretty much insulted almost every group out there except for white football coaches. And for the record he voluntarily canceled himself.

Wow! Looks like Dr Dre and Eminem are out for the Super Bowl halftime show if words written or spoken years ago are enough to get you sent packing today. Both had homophobic and misogynistic lyrics. Not gonna be a good look for the NFL.. But I'm sure Dre and Marshal both apologized.
