Data point:
96,000 people died of drug overdoses in the last 12 months per CDC.

I buy guns all the time, never a hiccup with my DL, no cop has ever asked anything about it during a traffic stop.

It isn't that kind of thing, they track how often you buy it and it triggers if you try to buy more than a certain amount in a certain period of time. The rules are all to keep you from Breaking Bad.

I don't think two purchases with 7-8 yrs. are excessive. If someone else has a scan of my license, I'd like to know how that happened. I got a new DL in Feb. 2020 and I was also denied a sale on my old DL around 2013-14. Wouldn't law enforcement want to ask me some questions if I were really buying lots of pseudoephedrine meds?

Your purchase frequency is not the issue. The window is like 14 days. What I'm saying is, this isn't a problem with your DL. It is most likely user error or a problem with the software at your pharmacy. They absolutely should be able to tell you what happened. The "we don't know" is bs or an idiot/lazy person at the pharmacy. Get a supervisor involved. They owe you an explanation.

Walgreens cannot figure out my insurance no matter how many times they have tried and no matter how many times my insurance company tells me they are the preferred 90 day pharmacy on my plan. My card is fine. The techs who work the computers at the pharmacy, not so much.

The first step is admitting that you've got a problem, sir. Not understanding that a couple of pills over a decade is a problem is clearly part of the problem.

exactly what I was thinking. If he can purchase one place, but not another, then it's not the database flagging his ID, it's something else. And there has to be a way to determine when there's an issue and then resolve it.

Lemme get this straight....

You could have passed for a LEO back then.... now yer a long haired, pony tailed, guitar playin' meth dealer :)

Get a haircut?

I keed.... I keed :D

Deschodt 10-14-2021 07:33 AM

Similar thing happened to my wife at CVS this week.
You can buy the "Advil cold and sinus" OR the allergy med, but not both at once... WHAT ???
It's like going to Safeway and being told its Beef or chicken today sir! Not both.

Apparently we're starting a meth lab with 1 box of each every couple of month, don't you know?
That DB needs some triggers reset.

Is there a lost DL of yours out there?

It’s absolutely this. When I worked in a pharmacy, we had to enter those sales into a state run system. It was always a pain in the ass and would deny for random reasons. If you had patience and held your mouth just right you could get them to go through though. I’m guessing the folks at frys just didn’t want to take the time to figure out the system and help you out.

Reason number 4 on the list of reasons you should never go to the drug store without first showering and combing your hair. :)

GH85Carrera 10-14-2021 08:17 AM

One of my friends, of a friend, somehow got on the federal no fly list. He has to assume it was because he has a common name and someone with the same name was added. He has fought through a lot of red tape to get back off that list. It is like calling the IRS, or getting an in person face to face talk to a Social Security employee, almost impossible.

He had to call his congressman to get someone to even talk to about getting off that list.

An infinitesimal amount compared to other causes of death even after removing COVID from the list. The FDA has it's head up it's own politically controlled ass. Sorry for the PARF comment but that is entirely and absolutely the problem.

Watch "The Pollinators" (about honey bees) on Amazon to see how corrupt our so called gov't 'protection' agencies work. BTW, it's an excellent documentary even w/o the exposing of the EPA, USDA and the FDA.

nota 10-14-2021 11:27 AM

you have a very very common name

some one likely did something sometime somewhere

likely not worth the effort to fix

I'm guessing those weren't truckers on the original no doze formula...

Lee? You mean like Robert E Lee, and probably a several million Chinese (who can be Lee, Le, Li, etc...)?

Hell, his name's got it's own Wikipedia page that includes a list of "famous" folks with the name.
