"the consultant" on prime. Weird AF, but not bad at all.. better than the reviews suggest.

I am on episode 3 right now. Very strange but I am liking it so far.

I'm thinking the Faustian Bargains are the tip off here. The pay off in this show is minimal, though.

Yes bizarre. I only watched 3 episodes so far but I do need more than one season.

Or the leader of SPECTRE. He's the only reason I watched the whole season. One of my favorite actors.

Watched "True Lies" with Steve Howey. Always liked him on "Reba".

Good take on the Arnold film, produced by James Cameron. Spy stuff, action, comedy. I was impressed. I think it's streaming on Paramount+.

Narcos and Narcos Mexico. Just got into the 3rd Season of NM

Great acting, writing and direction.

plus the music and photography and just over the top environment. Narcos is just so good. Watch with my 'adult' kids and we rarely skip the credits. Still I think that first season is the best what with narrator discussing gabriel garcia marquez.

I just watched "bad vegan". Thought it was really messed up in a great way. Now I know what gaslighting is. Yeesh.

If "The Consultant" episodes had been more than 30-35 minutes it would have been insufferable. But the weirdness was OK in little, short doses. However, there was a lot of unnecessary crap just thrown in (not giving anything away here) like early on when Craig and Elaine were watching Regis and some guy doing their thing. Then, that was that. Is that just a Hollywood thing? Why was that even added? Could have used more of the receptionist also. Plus Craig seemed too dumb too often.

I think the gold bones was just thrown in there for fun, too.

I'm going to check that out!

My brother and I used to watch the History Channel a lot and since it was often WWII stuff with a block letter H in the lower left corner, we called it the "Hitler Channel." One day we're surfing around for something to watch and my brother says "What's Hitler up to?"

This was an interesting movie made in Germany:

Finished The Consultant tonight. Ended as bizarre as it started. I would watch a second season.

We watched the Triangle of Sadness.
Unique plot that isn't obvious at the beginning.
Well written. Might provoke interesting conversations.

Last night over at Mom's flipping through the channels......2 shows were speaking Spanish. Andy Griffith Show and Bib Bang Theory. All else in English.

WTF?

JackDidley 03-08-2023 07:10 PM

Tonight I watched True Lies. Very fun, light action. Also watched first episode of Mayor of Kingstown. Pretty intense drama. Will watch again.

Figured it out. Somehow under settings it was set to use a second language. It was also adding commentary to certain movies, which was weird. All back to normal now.

Watching "Crickey! It's the Irwin's" now on Animal Planet....;)
