Really enjoyed Ripley on the Netflix
|
Search Party. Very wacky/quirky, but easy to watch, episodes are only 23 minutes.

I signed up for Paramount streaming. It cost $5.95 per month.
It includes the Smithsonian channel, and they have some fantastic documentaries. One I just watched was called the last bomb. It was about the B-29 bombing raids on Japan. We were sending over 1,000 in one raid B-29s loaded with incendiary bombs to target Japan's infrastructure. Most of Tokyo was reduced to rubble. The Mustangs flew escort, from different islands and met up with the B-29s. The navy sent ships to be in the area for any rescues. The Mustangs would shoot down the limited Japanese Zeros and then go on strafing raids to shoot up trains, airfields and factories. Of course finally we dropped the two nukes and brought the Japanese surrender. They have astonish documentaries about a variety of subjects. |
I watches 2 episodes on a new series called Elsbeth. Reminds me of Colombo but Peter Falk did it better. Probably wont watch again.

Really enjoying "sugar" on apple TV... and I normally don't care for Colin Farrell. Detective specialized in finding people... Then it gets deeper... If you do not have apple TV, might be worth paying one month for this and MAsters of the air bingeing (and foundation, and Silo)

Also Fallout on prime...
From the video game, post apocalyptic... Naive surviving shelter dweller goes exploring the irradiated world and its mutants. But it's kinda goofy too, and has $$$ for very nice sets and FX, has those flashbacks to the 50s, and it's actually fun to watch... Walton Goggins is a great actor (Boyd crowder from justified) -there's a few other justified actors in there actually - Trying not to binge too fast. I hope it's renewed !! It's a little like the silo but goofy vs serious... |

Yup, been hooked on Fallout, may even have to try the video game now.........that seems backwards in sense.

I had a problem with a twist in The English, but got over it watching it a second time. One of the best westerns ever, IMO. 6 episode mini series. |

I watched 3 of the 6 episodes of The Devil's Hour on Amazon and I haven't figured out what's going on yet, but it's riveting.

Giving it a try right now. |
I finished it last night. Overall, I thought it was very good. A little slow at times, riveting at others. It's got a lot of familiar themes, but as a whole it's good horror/sci-fi milkshake. Excellent writing and acting from the whole cast.

Watched the last 3 episods of The Devils Hour last night. I liked it. Sort of an American Horror Story story.
|
It's been approved for two more seasons. Peter Capaldi (as Gideon) really makes the series. I never watched Doctor Who, but he was the 12th one.
