The new season of Narcos Mexico is unbelievably good. Best show on Netflix in my opinion.

Ive been watching Yellowjackets. Showtime series about a highschool girls soccer team . The plane they are on crashes in the wilderness in 1999. 19 months before they get out. Goes back and forth between 99 and 2021 . Crazy things happen then and now.

I'm into season 2, episode 3 of Tin Star on Amazon. It's very good, not awesome. Tim Roth makes the show. Comes in as a police chief from the UK to a Canadian Rocky town and crimes start happening. Some pretty creepy villains and it's interesting and unpredictable.

Bordertown on Netflix is also very good, kind of slow. An detective with incredible talent is relocated to a small town in Finland near Russia. I've been watching the dubbed version.

Just finished Bosch based on the recs of the brain trust here. It was fantastic. Now we're on to Yellowstone. Anyone else see the not-really-coincidental similarity of that and Succession?

Season 4 of Cobra Kai is fun in a campy way.
Sneaky Pete was awesome.

Same here! And The Virginian and Perry Mason with Raymond Burr. Good stuff, especially PM, they've got some nice "Land Yachts" on that show.

Late to the game, but just started season 2 of Succession. Took a few episodes to get sucked in, but really enjoying it. I also like the actor conversations at the end of each episode. Nice touch.

Hell yeah. Fauda is great habibi!

Just in case you didn't know.

Quote:

Habibi is an Arabic word that literally means “my love” (sometimes also translated as “my dear,” “my darling,” or “beloved.”) It is used primarily as a pet name for friends, significant others, or family members.

Habibi is frequently used in songs to give them a romantic feel … and usually both men and women are habibi in music.

In everyday speech, however, habibi can be used from a parent to child and between friends. In some places, including Lebanon, it’s even common to use the word to soften interactions between strangers … kind of like the usages of hon, baby, and sweetie in some parts of the United States, where something that’s typically a pet name for loved ones becomes acceptable (maybe …) to apply to someone you’ve just met.

Habibi can also be used as a name, most commonly a surname. It’s not uncommon to see it used as a name for businesses as well. Dance troupes, bands, and restaurants can all be found with the name Habibi, too. It’s everywhere.

When used for a parent to a child, the word could be translated as sweetie or honey. In a more romantic context, beloved or my love might be more accurate. When used between friends or strangers, it can be represented as “my brother,” or “my friend” or even “bro” or “dude.”
And my understanding is that habibi is usually directed at men while habibti is usually directed towards women. But I don't speak Arabic, so I could be wrong. I did have a native Arabic tell me the last bit many years ago.
