LOL! Yep, pool halls are usually in dangerous areas of town. The Cue Ball in Salem, OR is no exception. May sound crazy, but in there you may spot a pool cue worth more than a Rolex...

(edit) But it's just not the cues...big money matches happen. Often streamed live on pay per view, backers money involved. Not unusual for these to have $100K going to the winning side, and nobody takes checks. 1,000 $100 bills isn't really that large of a pile...

I wouldn't think so.

I think if he'd come in and said "I'm not worried because I'd just kick butt if I was jumped" that would be considered flexing. But maybe my understanding is off. I would think "I'm not flashy, and no one would think there would be any reason to rob me" would not be considered flexing.

Or are you thinking this is like saying "I'm to smart to get robbed because I dress way down?"

Yes, or could he be flexing by saying look at me I dress and act just like you.

Nice watch Rick. I looked at getting one but my skinny wrist couldn't support it! Those watches are substantial! I ended up getting a Planet Ocean 42mm

That is just the business.

That watch, to me, is the only other watch I would own than my Omega Seamaster.

Different worlds, I know, but there is a knee in the curve

Well done, Rick!

I just hope if this happens to me that I'm sober enough to not do anything stupid and I just hand over whatever they want.

I'll flex a little..

I've actually wore my Doxa on a dive, TWICE..

I even took it with me on a dive trip to Mexico once.

Imagine that, wearing a dive watch while diving.

Of course I didn't use it, I had a computer for that but I just wanted to wear it while on the bottom.

When I go to Mexico I want to blend in. Looking like I have money is a bad idea. My suburban is pitiful looking but reliable. Taking a brand new black Silverado across the border is an invatation to walk back to the border, if you are lucky.

Don't make me flex my Vostok!
Your cool sunglass emoticon does raise potential for an ultimate sunglass thread though

This is what I was talking about. They look so damn good on my laptop and when I get one in my hands I'm completly let down.
