My ex father in law was a different story. He retired after a 34 year naval career as a Captain with a nice pension, beautiful home 100% paid for on 20 acres, etc. Years later he was destitute and what was left was sold at auction to pay his many debts. He was scammed, wasted money on *****, etc. My ex had tried for years to help him to no avail. She finally had to walk away due to his threats, loaning him money he never repaid, and more. Truly a sad and frustrating situation.

Sorry to hear that your dad is having more problems, Scott.
I guess being stubborn doesn't age out of us... Hope you find solution to his falling. My mom has taken a few good tumbles and had some black eyes and cuts from her falls.
