i cant get past the effort they took to reshape that thing so it looked like i has/had bones in it.

i heard office-mate chatter. that's the target lunch today. hahha..

when was the last time you ate a McRib! why do you suppose it is a non-permanent thing? just to keep the buzz alive?

I can't remember the last time I ate McDs, BK, Wendy's, etc...

My most recent "fast food" would probably be Chipotle, "The Burger Joint" (local place), and Torchy's Tacos. I've also probably had Chick-fil-A 3-4 times in the last 5-10 years because our old apt complex provided free breakfast.

The last time that I had McD's McNuggets, they were disgusting. They seemed like they were 90% skin, fat, etc... with hardly any meat. If I was going to have that, I'd probably go to Buffalo Wild Wings.

Under just the right (wrong?) circumstances, I could see having a burger from McD's. It would probably be a double quarter pounder with cheese. I think it's probably been 10-15 years.

I first tried one in 1982, in Frankfurt Germany, of all places. Thought it was the nastiest sandwich I’d ever tried to eat, didn’t finish it, never even considered trying another one.

Get a McChicken, they sell those for about a buck on the dollar menu.

I have never had a McRib. One of my life goals is never have one.

There are plenty of GREAT BBQ places locally, and ribs are low on my list of favorites. I prefer brisket.

I bet I have not had a lunch meal at McDonald's in 30 years. I have had a breakfast there while on the road in extenuating circumstances. The coffee is 100 times better than Starbucks, so there is that.

The next one will be my first.

I am no McD hater, btw: I have a monthly meeting in DC and I always stop at the McDonald's in Charlotte Hall on the way up: Two Breakfast B's and a hash brown.

Eating the paper bag it comes in is probably better for me, but ta da ta ta taaaa i'm lovin' it.

Last time for McRib was in 1980s I believe. Not a fan.

I've pretty much quit all FF joints except Whataburger and Chick Fil A. And I really don't consider Chick in the same league as most FF joints.

IIRC, the Mc Rib was on/off the menu to keep the buzz and create a following, which it has done. Still nasty though.

Every single time I go to McDonalds for any menu item, I am disappointed, in it's taste, and quality. I think I had a McRib about the last time they were available, and said "no" to any further culinary delights from McDs !

Never had a McRib and the list time I ate at a Mickey D's was when they still had hot mustard sauce to cover up the taste of the nuggets. The Big Mac will put me in gastrointestinal distress for hours and the plain burgers are way too salty.

The breakfast there isn't bad, but we have many, better places to choose from.

last time I had one was in the 90s, keep meaning to get one when they roll around for nostalgia purposes. I think they are meant to be a gross guilty pleasure. I cant imagine even mcdonalds execs thing of them as actual "food".

Also modern mcdonalds is pretty much as good or as bad as most other fast food joints. They have grilled chicken, better burgers, salads etc. The look at you kinda wierd when you order them but not too bad in my limited experience

Maybe I will have one before my next colonoscopy and I won't have to drink that crap they give you.

I have none of the problems with McDonalds food that others do. That said, I tried one once and it was not horrible, just not as good as other items on their menu (and it cost more). The extra onions suggestion might have helped...or it it had been very hot.

I don't think the execs eat the same stuff that is served in the restaurants. Or at least not cooked in the same manner.

The restaurant stuff is pre-cooked, but I really don't know where or when, then pulled out of those plastic drawers on the assembly line to be nuked and placed in a bun.

I'm sure in Hamburger University and the executive test kitchen it is better but not so much in the restaurants.

All that said, McD's is my go to when driving long distance. Double cheese burger. I can still drive a car holding that burger.

I have honestly never had one. They just don't look appetizing to me. The Arbys rib sammich looks pretty yummy though.

My fav McD's ever is south of Innsbruck Austria on the Autobahn heading towards Italy. It looks out over the Stubai Valley towards the glacier.

https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g190445-d5966259-Reviews-McDonald_s-Innsbruck_Tirol_Austrian_Alps.html

There is also a nice one next to the Spanish Steps in Rome.

We had small kids last time we lived in Europe. Been to a bunch of them. What was bad was having to settle for Burger King when McD wasn't nearby. If you think the King is bad in America, it is far worse in Europe.

I'm a food snob. The last three fast food burgers I ate were Wendy's Double burgers. It takes about a year to eat three of them. The stuff sold at McDonalds is not even food, IMHO.

IMHO, Burger King is hit or miss. One can make a great burger on their equipment if it is freshly made. Unfortunately, most just cook up a pan full of patties every now and put them under a heat lamp...and then use those.
