A close second a Geo Metro, a not at all cute girl at the last place I was stationed out west, she hit a full grown bull (open range grazing in the summer). Completely and I do mean completely totaled that POS. The bull walked away initially, dropped dead at the side of one of the 2 roads that went to town. At least he took out that POS car on his way down...

Hands down... winner! I have driven or worked on just about everything you could think of. The Yugo is at the top. How bad? It made a 70's era Fiat look good in comparison. Further, it was the only manufacturer that after some time hear in the US, no finance company would give a loan for them. They were advertised at $3995. Of course you'd never get out of the dealership at that price without all the 'up's' and 'paks'. People had issues right away, took them back under warranty and a lot of the time the dealer had to order the parts which took forever which did not sit well with buyer's.

Also the manufacturer started denying warranty claims for any reason to stop the bleeding. So then people just quit paying the loans. Very quickly the loan service companies couldn't recover any money because once repossessed, they couldn't give them away. So then dealers had a new car that no one would finance. So they advertised they would take a credit cards to purchase.

Only time this happened in my 62+ years where a finance company would not write a loan for a new
car. Believe it or not

1972 Pantera. Hands down the worst POS I ever owned and I have driven a 1968 Triumph Herald and a 1966 Morris Minor, both of which were rust buckets leaking oil.
Fast, in a straight line(when running), a HUGE understeerer and happy to stall and die in traffic without warning. Fly Yellow made it easier for the tow trucks to find it.

Quit *****in', I had to drive my uncles Citroen CV while i was living in Spain. That thing would get me seasick if the road has anything but straight!

Some of the worst driving judgement on 4 wheels. Maybe inly rivaled by Uber and Lyft drivers, because those people are always driving in unfamiliar areas while tapping away on their phones. If Prius drivers were antelope on the Serengeti, they'd all be eaten by lions within 2 days.

I'm also in Los Angeles and have observed the Prius drivers' lack of connection to objective reality. However, some motorcycle riders have told me they've been blocked by Prius drivers acting out of malice, so some are aware and just dicks. If we could have one day each month that was open season on Priii...

Fortunately, they are no longer the #1 selling car in California. Bumped out by Tesla 3.

,,,or not.

Ours looked like this without the luggage rack and flowers.

https://hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-prod...Woodgrain.jpg?

Then dad painted the first few inches of the front black to cover the rock chips which kind of made it look like it was wearing a bra. The black front didn't make it look worse, but then, that's not saying much.

I think there were 2 motors available, a 1.4L and a 1.6L (whats the point really?). Ours was the 1.4L, and had a whopping 52hp.

Just the worst, its no wonder that I gravitated towards imports

I think it stated sooner say a1973 when the 5 mile/hour bumpers were mandated. Some truly bland and awful looking cars during that period.
