Streaming TV - what are your subscriptions?
I used to pay for YouTube TV but their rates jumped to $65/mo. Then we moved to Sling TV which is $25 cheaper. However, they’re programming is confusing so I’m shopping around again. My wife watches all the Housewives shows, A&E, etc and I like the Discovery Channel. Which service do you use? Any streaming service has been way cheaper than cable. I’m glad I’ve cut the cord.

I also get Hulu basic for free with my Sprint phone. Rarely use it. Why do you think Sling programming is confusing? |

Discovery +, Disney + and Prime which includes video and the free Roku account.
Plex has live TV also with MAV-TV and such and we use it to stream our movies we own from our media server to us when we are on the road.

Netflix is our primary.
Acornonline (for mystery movies and series for the missus) Every once in a while I may grab a free month of hulu. I buy DVD/BD and rip and put on our NAS for streaming.

That's what we do and Plex lets us stream those from home to wherever we are, including bopping down the road.

I've been considering trying PhiloTV. I've tried just about every other streaming service you can think of... literally. I landed on Sling. I've also got Prime video and Netflix.

I use Sling mainly, but we do jump around a lot. That is the best thing about streaming. One month, HBOMax, the next Sling, then maybe FuboTV for football.
I also like some of the "free" options like Pluto and the Roku Channel...lots of older, but still entertaining things on them.

Interesting you mention FuboTv. I dropped them a couple years ago because I couldn't watch the National Championship game. I think they've improved since then. Vidgo is another that I haven't tried out but it looks interesting. https://www.vidgo.com/channels/

This is a very subjective question. For us, a lot of time the TV is on for background noise. That's it. But the wife wanted to watch the new season of Doctor Who, so I signed up for Philo. Probably the cheapest service that has live TV, but come the Monday after signing up we couldn't find a damn thing worth watching on any of their 60+ channels. So I dumped it after the free trial. I told her we could get a month of AMC+ and she could catch up on that.
Most of the time I'll watch something on broadcast TV, or Pluto is a free service that has some interesting stuff, sometimes. I had Sling for a couple of years, but they kept dropping channels and raising prices, and I finally had enough. We still have Netflix, and maybe over Christmas I'll sign up for Disney+, need to catch up on the Marvel stuff. We'll probably drop it after we're caught up. |

Primarily we watch Hulu live and Netflix . Hulu live seems to carry everything my wife and I enjoy watching . We used to have Sling but at that time channel selection wasn't that good .

Former SLING user, i think it's a good value but it always annoyed me to use. No consistent UI across devices, lack of feature parity. And the whole Blue / Orange subscription model, why do I need two subscriptions that are really just a basic and premium option but you have to subscribe to both?
Youtube TV has been ok, not 100% thrilled with it either. Besides that we do have HBO, Disney (my wife is a big MCU fan), Netflix, Hulu (which I never really liked but leaching it off my daughters college plan so it's free to me for now), Amazon Prime. Apple TV has finally come into it's own. Best part about it is its content aggregation. You now have one place to search for content so if you find something that is on say Netflix and you are a Netflix subscriber it takes you right there. No more going to each service individually to see what they have because that's a real rabbit hole for my wife and annoys me.

We have Spectrum cable with 100+ channels... the typical stuff you'd expect and no premium channels.
We also have a 2nd generation AppleTV for access to Netflix. Question; I used to love surfing YouTube on the AppleTV once in awhile (Petrolicious and similar especially), but a few months ago Netflix put a message on the screen when I tried to access it saying it was no longer available. Do any of you know if that's across all generations of AppleTV devices or just the older ones?

Netflix (free w/TMobile)
Prime Video (free w/ Amazon membership) HBO Max (free w/AT&T Gigawatt) YouTube TV Philo Peacock (free) We have every channel we need and then some. Even with the annual memberships we are over $100 less per month than I was w/DirecTV after being with them since they were PrimeStar back in '95.

Netflix through T-Mobile...
Prime Video through Prime... HBO Max through Comcast (I have Triple Play and 1.2Gbps D/L speeds) Disney+ for the kids... Everything else is just the free version (Peacock, Youtube...) I had AppleTV for a year because of a device purchase but didn't subscribe. |

Apple TV - $4.95 mth
Netflix - $17 mth (I think) Hulu - Free with my Spotify - $13.99 mth YouTube = No commercials and free with my smart projector TV Peacock - Free Just subscribed to HBO Max so I could watch Dune - what a waste of money but I paid for the annual subscription. Got rid of Direct TV about five years ago (-$110 month) |

Hmm i have netflix and Spotify. Free Disney + with cell provider.
I don't have internet and stream everything with a cell phone.

Guys, Discovery + is free for one year on Verizon cell plan. All we have now is Discovery +, Hulu and Frndly.

We are a bit overloaded:
Direct TV Discovery + Disney + Prime Netflix Fox Nation Working in film I'm able to write them all off on taxes. That said, I really only watch Direct TV for TCM and the Wife likes Hallmark Channel and ME TV. I'd like to find an alternative to get those channels and just cancel it. We get the most use out of Prime, Netflix and Discovery +. Disney is for the G'kids and Fox is only because it's free for 1 year for Vets. If anyone knows of a good subscription channel for old movies (especially Film Noir) I'm open to suggestions.
