The first snows are great because it's all so white.
After they add the sand and salt....not so much.

I just gotta.....

72 degrees and beautiful blue skies here, just like yesterday. We have yet to have have a hard freeze. We have elephant ears still growing.

Maybe 75 degrees on Friday here. I am loving it. Last winter sucked major big time. I like this weather.

Ditto

70 and sunny. I hate summer here in South Texas but 'winter' is not too bad.

But also lived in 'South' Canada aka Northern NY for a few years. Loved that too.

Drove to the Quad Cities Saturday morning to visit the step-daughter and granddaughter. There was no snow, but there must have been some precipitation Friday night / Saturday morning. Saw two rolled over trucks, first one was an older Ranger, probably lost it on a bridge that was iced up, that truck looked like it rolled more than once. Second one was a F150, not sure what he did to lose it but the cab was crunched on that one as well.

Snow Tires!!!!

My 996 was my DD in DC metro and my e30 M3 was my DD living in Northern Bavaria Germany until an M5 took its spot. Had a second set of wheels with mounted snow tires for all 3.

No problems after that.

Also in Vermont not far from Pete3799...had the 944 out this morning (15F temps), with its fresh fill of Mobil 1 0W40 and a set of new Blizzak WS-90's...and all is well! Having just rebuilt the engine, I'm pretty confident that the oil will stay put (fingers crossed!)

ps...Yellowperil I love that color! Looks turquoise-ish...but maybe Adventurine Green? Something else?

74, clear, sunny, & calm here right now and going to stay the same for the next week according to the forecast. It feels like we're not going to have a winter here.

We got enough snow on the weekend that the grand daughter was able to muck about on her cross country skis. The rain took it all off today.
I didn't have to fire up the tractor and blower so I'd call that a win-win.
The crappy weather means the wife isn't chomping at the bit to get outside. We're less than two weeks past her surgery and she's starting to get a little shack happy.
Best
Les

A dusting of snow here last Saturday

Very unusual weather for us as I can't remember it ever snowing in Nov.

Got a fresh set of snow tyres arriving tomorrow so it can snow all it wants

I won't post a photo of my thermometer for the back yard. I don't need y'all hatin' me for the weather I'm having to endure right now.

Be careful what you wish for. Bragging about having beautiful weather in Dec is great, until the weather from last Feb comes back.

72° and sunny but we would trade it in a minute for rain or snow even though it doesn't snow here

At least you have green grass, Greg.
There's a drought happening down here so we don't waste water on our grass.
As I tell my neighbors with green lawns, you can't drink green grass.
