Absolutely agree on that. Big, teflon coated, brass balls required to not just hang onto a bike for dear life, but then to have to shift your weight around is a different kind of crazy!

This thread reminded me of the British writer Charles Fox, who used to appear in Car & Driver (among others) in the 70s and 80s. He wrote a piece on the TT and when I'm home I'm going to dig through my old issues and find it.
