Agree totally. I really got turned off from the most recent episode. The writing, flashbacks, acting, all of it. The story seems very drawn out. I could watch Season 1 again, Season 2 is nothing worth recommending.

I thought season one was better too.
The interaction between characters seems quite stiff.

I saw season 1 twice and I remember the interaction being the same there as well. I haven't read the books, but I've read the Reacher character in the books is quite stoic. I think Alan Ritchson has been working hard to emulate the characteristic, among other things.

I just watched episodes 6 and 7 again and have no disappointment compared to season 1. I think episode 8 will be very entertaining.

I still like the way Cruise played Reacher better, even though it's less like the books. I like the quantity of the series and enjoy what Ritchson brings to the screen.

I'm committed to seeing it through to the end but it's disappointing compared to season one in my opinion. Now when I watch the latest episode I am just waiting for it to be over.

Hilarious indeed. I actually thought of that same Seinfeld character the first time I thought Dixon looked pretty good - 'cause I sure didn't think so initially, then again later. Rinse and repeat.

I think it is still a better adaptation than Jack Ryan.

It's entertaining. The chemistry between Reacher, Finlay, and Conklin was better than it is between "the 110". Neagley is a bit better than the others. Some of the better shows were because of the chemistry between the characters (CSI, NCIS, etc...). But, a lot of those developed chemistry over episodes or seasons (20-25 episodes per season, sometimes multiple seasons), where these folks have 8 action-packed episodes.

But it's still entertaining. You guys need to get in touch with your inner 12 year old for watching action flicks.

Just finished it last night. Yes you have to remove your brain at times. It's like a comic book on the big screen. I liked it.

If only they were half as good as the books. The early books were really great. The later ones, not so much. The recent ones, the ones with his son also on the cover, aren’t up to the rest of the series.

Yep, don't think too hard about what's going on or the stuff that's unlikely. Movies/shows over the years have followed the same/similar recipe, and I suspect many, many more movies and shows will continue to follow the recipe. I enjoyed it.

Although I've got to say, if you were riding a bus with an empty seat next to yours, and Reacher got on, you'd be hating life if that seat next to you was the only empty seat on the bus.

Maybe the source material is partly to blame with some disappointment in season 2. I agree with the slow release of episodes sucking, and I think I'll wait for enough to be out to binge it (and other shows) all at once in the future. Maybe the novelty of a big giant protagonist helped the first season. I still enjoyed season 2 a lot. I really liked the movies better (especially the first one), even though Cruise was miscast physically. But I think he brought more to it than he took away.

The movies are good. What Cruise lacks in the physical he makes up for with intensity.

Not very memorable but like a car wreck, hard to look away.

Lame dialogue, poor character development very little suspension of disbelief.

It’s not the acting that bugs me so much, it’s the writing and the direction.

I need to take a look and see if the screenplay and the direction was by different people for the two seasons.

I stopped watching season two after the third episode. Just no chemistry between the actors, and it was just a lousy book to make into a second season. And I got sick of hearing that “you do not mess with the special investigators!“ obviously someone does mess with the special investigators.

When I watched the last episode last night I looked at it as panels in a comic book. All the absurd situations then made sense. Like when he's holding her in the gurney from the helicopter I could picture the comic speech bubbles...
Every scene was a comic book page...

In hindsight I watched a movie that had eyeballs in a glass jar Saturday, and then watched Reacher Sunday and it too had eyeballs in a glass jar... Not sure I've seen that before...
