Hmmm. Might be faster than a well set up 944.

I really need that...so I can get to the pool hall quicker.

Really looks like a Camaro with a Mustang front bumper.

I think these are getting to the point where i'd much rather have something lighter with less power that i can toss around with less fear.

Looks like a capable car...but butt ugly. It seems that the lines are all fighting each other.

A few years from now half price of new despite the limited # run. Millions of similar cars on the road and more stamped out daily

I think they still make Miatas, I saw one yesterday with a couple fine fellows enjoying some top down motoring.

Lol...surprised no mention of them both sharing shift-knob duty.

I really like the modern Mustang body style. To borrow from a Porsche ad: Do you really need 900hp to go buy diapers?

Have you ever run out of diapers?

I really like the 2005 style. You can buy the V6 cars for cheap too. I came close to buying one and LS swapping it just for fun. I already have 2 semi hot rod cars so thats enough for now.

So Ford's top go fast car is now the Stang with the demise of the Ford GT.

Chevy will forever have the Corvette as the top go fast car.

Mopar has the Demon for drag racing, but it won't go around corners.

And an electric car will out drag them all for a 1/4 mile. Welcome to the future.

A downside to uber fast cars is that you run out of road (which we all know is where the vast majority of these cars well spend all their time) very, very quickly.

I'll use a comparison between my 2600 lb (wet, with driver), twin-plugged, heavily-worked-heads, custom exhaust, bigger turbo, big-cammed, Megasquirt-controlled, etc., etc., etc. 930, with my bone stock 996 C4S.

The 930's acceleration was nothing short of blistering. It was way beyond what, in the olden days, we used to call a$$hole fast. The 996 by comparison, even thought it's still considered a pretty fast car, feels very pedestrian - feels pretty damned slow, in fact.

Of these cars, the one that brings (me) more enjoyment in public-road-based spirited driving (for me that means country roads and mountain twisites) is the much slower 996.

A co-worker says she “will own one. It’s going to happen.” She’s never owned a sports car of any sort. I suggested that maybe a 5.0 might suit her well or if need be, a GT350. Nope. “They don’t have a snake on the front.” At that point, I ran out of good will. I’d like to drive it once before she wrecks it like my other co-worker did to his Hellcat.
