I just buy the ethanol free fuel at the gas station. It’s all I use in the boat.

It's always been available here at a few stations ... moreso now than ten years ago, but not in all states. You should be able to find it at marinas and airports in those areas .... but bend over when you fill the can . | ||

I guess it is a necessity of you don't have pure gas in your area but I can't do that for the 22 gallon tank. BTW, he doesn't say what he does with the extracted water/ethanol mix.

I just go to my local gas station less than a mile from my house for corn free gasoline. They sell a good selection of beer there as well. On the many road trips in my 85 911 to other states that only have 10% gasohol I just run it with no issues. I make sure to fill up about 450 to 500 miles from home, and get home with little gas in the tank. Many states mandate 10% booze in the fuel state wide.

Am able to buy 90 octane non-ethanol nearby. I keep three 5 gallon jugs filled with it for the motorcycles and 2 cycle stuff. About $4/gallon though. Thanks, Joe.

The only practical thing is just grin and bear it. If you have some concours perfect 100 point old car just get race gas. For my 911, I have replaced ALL of the rubber hoses, and the hose from the fuel pump to the back through the tunnel is bonded & crimped to the plastic hose. So I bought the hoses from Len and replaced them. The short rubber part that goes over the steering rack started leaking, and there was no safe option but replace the entire hose from the fuel pump to the engine compartment. The engine hoses we already replaced. For my El Camino, I replaced all the hoses when I converted to fuel injection long ago.

Good info vid, thanks for posting.. I'm using that method to clean the fuel I store in jerry cans mounted to the jeep. I already had to drop the gas tank once because of water. I can't find ethanol free gas in norcal. I pick up race track fuel for my chain saws but don't know if it contains ethanol or not. Is airplane fuel ethanol free?

I don’t have any need to do it, but that was very interesting.

That may be convenient for small amounts for lawn tools etc but not so for larger quantities. I'm just switching over to battery lawn tools now. My Duc has had all of the sensitive bits removed so EtOH doesn't hurt it anymore.
