He was one of the greatest generals of all time.
Mobil, aggressive, cunning, patient, diplomatic, wise. In almost every one of the five campaigns he is outnumbered and at the breaking point but somehow succeeds. I suffered from "male pattern baldness" in my late 30's. So one day my girlfriend from Chile that of course spoke Spanish as her first language tells me "You look like Hulio Sesser" and I'm thinking who the hell is "Hulio Sesser"? A baseball player? She goes on to say "No, you know, guy with ivy wreath on his head..."and I say you mean Julius Caesar?! GTF outta my house!

They do talk about that at the end of the third video and leave it open to interpretation.
In some ways he was acting a 'king' albeit a very bad one in terms of actually implementing policy. No bodyguards. No draconian measures. The legislature operated as normal. Julius have it a hard kick in the ass when stalemates occurred. But it also appears he was trolling the corrupt senator side with the golden chair and red shoes, and he expected them to come to reason eventually. He was well know for his pardons of past enemies and many in the Senate were among them. George Washington was offered ultimate power and refused it as well.
