Mouse traps freak me out

I HATE setting these things. They give me the heebie jeebies like nothing else. Except maybe my first wife.

I take it you never had to make a mouse trap car with your son when he was in HS Physics, or did you blow that one off.

Mouse traps are nothing. The RAT traps are the ones to be extra careful with!

This. I've got 3 mousetraps under my work desk right now. I occasionally trip one with my foot. I've reset them more times than I can count. I've snapped my fingers a few times. It stings for a few seconds. That's it.

On the other hand, rat traps will break fingers...

I don't mind setting them. But emptying them creeps me out. Those bug eyes staring up at you...

Every time I stop catching mice in the basement...I know a big snake has gotten in the house. Those are creepy.

I use the sticky traps. I forget the name but that is better than the ones where you can get your finger slammed.

I you're scared of mouse traps, you'd probably be scared of gopher traps too.

I had some smart rats. They get stuck on the trap, then roll off. All you find is fur on the sticky stuff. Smart ones outsmart the snap traps, too. However, these can't be outsmarted. I even caught a mongoose in one. They are mean little fkers.
