BTW the standard 930 is still a site to behold IRL. One of the most "macho" cars ever made!

A friend of mine who collects mostly exotic cars had an '89 Turbo slant nose. I think he said it was orginally ordered by the guy who played Apollo Creed in the Rocky movies. I was sort of surprised at the build quality on some of the areas such as the rear fender slats. I guess Porsche got away with that sort of thing back then. It was like a prototype.

From memory the rear fender slats on the special swishes cars were made of wood.

This is my friends 964 Turbo slantnose. This is #5 out of 10 that Porsche built in all aluminum. Pretty cool.

We have one local PCA member that has one of the prototype Genuine Porsche built 930 Slant nose cars, and the documentation to prove it. It was a very early prototype, and Porsche built it, and realized there was no good place for headlights the stuck them in the bumper and lower valance. It does not have pop up headlights. Personally I think it is ugly, but it a rare car. I was never a fan of the Don Johnson era of slant nose 911s. Just my opinion.

The silver car just above is pretty cool Aluminum body slat nose and late enough in the production that the car looks finished and not a hack job.

LOL, the standard bodied turbo cabs are much better than the slant nose, IMO.

Very cool. I'd not heard of those. So Al is the color or what many of the body parts are made of (I'm assuming the latter).
I actually prefer the lights either down low in the valance like a 935 (like the DP935 above) or as pop-ups.

I'm not a fan of this look with the lights in the bumper.

Those headlights are a Porsche version of an obviously too big boob job. You know they were added, don't look natural, and are ugly.

I love mine. I get more thumbs up in that car than all the rest of my cars put together.

Yes all aluminum body. This one was actually built for the Japanese market then imported to the USA. All interior script I could see in it was in German, less a couple of jamb stickers that were in Japanese, assuming required for original import. Porsche only built 10 of them and this is #5. I am not sure any of these were originally built for the US market.

I love the Slant Nose. Always have...always will.
