Prime delivery...Amazoning!
Amazon's Prime delivery has to be the best ever.
One day to get the package. I ordered it yesterday. I clicked 'tracking' about an hour ago and a map pops up showing where the truck is and how many stops before mine. It refreshes at every stop with a new time. When he arrives, I get an email with a pic of the package on my front entry. I find myself ordering more and more often from Amazon...just because of the delivery. (instead of the grocery store) https://us-prod-temp.s3.amazonaws.co...5b6c4f5bfb9a46 |
If that excites you, just wait until you get a same day delivery, your head will explode http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo.../FFflower2.gif

^^^ I never will...until they use drones in my area.
I live in a very rural area. |
Just think , if anyone at Sears had any vision 10-15 years ago they could have done the same as Amazon . They have the warehouse infrastructure and could have been on top . Instead they rested on their past and swirled into the toilet.

They are starting to slow things down a bit.
I live about 40-50 miles from the nearest Amazon warehouse. Even here in BFE, we used to get stuff in 2-3 days after ordering. The last several orders that we've received have taken nearly a week to arrive, and often, they say "in stock" but they don't actually ship until 3-4 days after ordering. https://www.rather-be-shopping.com/blog/amazon-no-longer-offers-2-day-shipping/ Quote:

I haven't had those delays mentioned...except a few weeks back when we had a bad snowstorm. That can't be helped...I'm good with that. |
needed a long toslink cable last week, ordered late friday night on my door sat about lunch.
So much better than running around trying to find the right cable at target and best by. I am bought in at patronizing dr evil for many years now. Hardly know where else to buy routine things these days. |
^^^ plus a person can read reviews of every potential purchase.
And I've found that the 'Amazon Choice' products...are usually a good choice. |

In the sticks, we used to be good, always (99.5%) UPS. UPS is still fast, but the warehouse giving the stuff to UPS has been taking longer at least since Christmas. |
I'm about as far in the sticks you can get...still two day delivery on most Amazon purchases...some three days.

I imagine I’m not the only one either. |
The two day delivery is definitely hit or miss nowadays. Mostly miss, but I still prefer it to going out and buying it. The downside is, Amazon has driven the mom and pop stores out of business, and I haven’t helped.

Prime delivery...Amazoning!
Bottom line is you don't pay for shipping with prime. Whether it's Two day or what doesn't matter much to me.
