He went past the limit line. How she got that Prius there seems inexplicable. I think CA insurance works with "contributory negligence," so they may each have a percentage of blame.

I have to admit, the pictures of the scene don’t seem to jibe with the descriptions of what happened.

I think the severity of it it was way over blown by the media, I don’t think that woman had a serious injury.

He may well have been pushed past the line by the Porsche.

Even if he was making a left turn, how did her car end up where it is? If she was making some kind of U-turn, she must’ve really swung it wide to get in front of him?

If she was making a left turn, it was probably from the other direction on Sunset. A U-turn doesn't make sense considering where her car was located.
