^^^ Clark Road about a mile off of 75 in Sarasota
Very busy section of road.

slow&rusty 01-25-2022 04:21 AM

I witnessed this one, and the car came within a few feet of me and my Dad:

The driver came out, like he was cool...dumb a $ $

As soon as you see people lining up along the exiting street, you know bad decisions will soon be made.

stevej37 01-25-2022 06:07 AM

It's almost as though the Mustang drivers have never floored their cars until they have a crowd watching.

asphaltgambler 01-25-2022 06:11 AM

Well....^^^^^^.......almost. They have to nail it before straightening the wheel which.........you know.

ted 01-25-2022 06:42 AM

Driver needs to be programed to lift.
Power oversteer make an 11 and leave.

911 Rod 01-25-2022 08:32 AM

Same thing I told my buddy with his new C8.
Straighten the f##ing steering wheel before you hammer it you idiot!

svandamme 01-25-2022 08:42 AM

If you look at the tree/crowd, you WILL hit it.

Look where you want to go, and your hands will automatically steer in the correct direction to avoid the tree/crowd
But ok, in a Stang, doesn't matter, it is a crowdpleaser that just wants to cuddle the crowd.

Even then, some of these guys are going in a straight line, and when they punch it, the car starts fishtailing and gets away from them. A straight line is not always a guaranteed positive outcome.

svandamme 01-25-2022 08:49 AM

so would these guys be driving an auto or a manual?
I would think auto, and the torque convertor prevents fine control over the power delivery, and that catches em off?

stevej37 01-25-2022 08:53 AM

Auto with special order cars & coffee differential.

Steve Carlton 01-25-2022 08:59 AM

It’s a whole package. Steering gear, throttle tuning, rear steering, and differential.

don't forget the cupholders, it is after all cars and COFFEE , so that goes in the cupholder.. steering gear must be atuned to the offset weight and slushing liquid , else it goes wrong.

Keep the stangs cupholder free of coffee cup, no problem whatsoever.
You can put a pool cue in the car, fine, that's not a slushing liquid..
