Anyone got a source for GOOD online spices?

We have a vendor that we've been using. We love the spices that they sell. They are far better than almost everything that I've ever bought from a grocery store. We usually buy from a brick and mortar branch of theirs, but they do shipping too.

I'm looking to switch. The owner sends emails with specials and uses the platform to spout their political agenda. I've been ignoring it for years because I don't really care, but the guy took it 100 steps too far recently. I got an email that made me say "WOW! WTF!" I was prepared to ignore it, but then he followed it up with another half a dozen emails where it really didn't get any better.

So, I'm movin' on. I'm not going to support someone that extreme clueless (about offending customers).

I guess I can check out the places in this article (The place that I'm ditching is down near the bottom), but I'd like to hear from folks that have actually used places if possible.

I misread the title as looking for in-line splices!

We have Penney’s. Brick and mortar stores but I think their main thing is online.

( I hope they are not your previous store)

Must be Penzeys, The email I saw was so divisive, that I though it had to be a joke.
I live near their headquarters and actually called them to verify. The young lady that answered was very nice and didn’t agree with the email, but confirmed it was in fact sent out!

I just don’t get it. But will NEVER buy anything from that company EVER!

Penzeys, Yep, that's the one.

Yep, exactly. My first reaction (without reading the whole thing) was "whatever" but I got several more emails, and it was clear. He basically came out and said "whatever, I won't lose clients because anyone that I lose I'll gain back in the folks that agree with me.

I'm happy for others to have whatever views they want, but wow. His stuff was WAY over the top.

I probably shouldn't post this here, but...

Picture Deleted.

Not a spice comment but in a similar political bendt, there is a small store / gas station I stopped at every Saturday and Sunday to fill up, at on the way home from the ski hill. I would spend $120-150 there every single weekend. They had some slight against our premier’s Covid policies on a sign at the till that I noticed last time I was in there. Now I drive 5 miles out of my way to fill up somewhere else on the way home. I realize that $120/ week ain’t much but $480/ month in sales ain’t nothing either…

The place changed hands this past summer. I have no idea what the political views were of the previous owners and I liked it that way. These new owners will learn the hard way about pissing off a largely conservative customer base with their liberal views and signs.

It will be interesting to see how long that company stays in business.

I would not buy anything from them. Not so much because I agree or disagree with the sentiment, but why would I ever buy from anyone so stupid.

Yeah. I stopped buying from Penzey's. I mean, I don't care what people want to believe, just don't give me all the political B.S. when I'm just trying to buy stuff that has NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.

Burlap and Barrel. Great spices, some are incredible. Best cinnamon anywhere. Smoked paprika and cumin are two other standouts.

some good spices on the dark web, so I've heard.

Maybe these are not the spices you are looking for..

I was given some spices in a gift pack from this company as a Christmas present. I looked them up and love what I see, so I am using them for most of my purchases now.

Plus they are a small business in Byron Land.

Yes, multiple times over MLK weekend. There was a really, really long diatribe that went with it that I didn't read.

Exactly. I'm happy for anyone to have views, same or different from mine, but this is crazy.

Awesome, because smoked paprika, cumin and cinnamon are some of the spices that we use a lot.

I've used these guys for years. You do need to buy in bulk. But the price of a pound of spice from them is the price of an ounce in the grocery store.

We've been buying from these guys for years. Good quality and nice variety. Their chili blends are very good.
