Werks Reunion 2022 Amelia Island
My second year attending Werks Reunion in Amelia Island. Last year I parked in the Porsche corral. This year I figured I would get a better parking spot and entered my car to be judged.
By way of background, I have a 1988 Carrera that I bought new. It has over 147,000 miles on it. It still has original paint and interior. The motor has only had routine service. I presented it as best I could, telling the judges the story of the car, showing pictures of my kids with the car when very young and now. I also have every receipt from new including all purchase records. To my surprise not only did it place, It won first place in the 1974-1989 911/912 class. One of the best car days I have had, and there were many! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Bruce911_; 03-08-2022 at 03:31 AM.. |

Congratulations, Bruce! That's fantastic.
I went only on Sunday, so I missed the Werks activity. By the way, did you provide the words for the display card in front of the car?

Congrats Bruce.
The judges were impressed with the original ownership, originality of the car, and the provenance. In a way your entry helped me win third, (strong originality and provenance). See you next year? Bill K First, second and third.... ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks Bill, beautiful car! I agree it was a combination of what you said and I feel lucky coming in first with all the great cars in the class. Will definitely see you next year!
