Several times while working as a heritage interpreter, I had visitors to the facility tell me they didn't think I was from Nova Scotia because they could understand what I was saying. They guessed wrong. My job was communication.
Regional dialects in the province range from Acadian french to remnants of German, Scottish and southern England. Good times! Best Les
