I failed to understand why people are still buying Craftsman hand tool these days. All junk and there are so many out there that are better at the same price point. I really like Grearwrech sockets and their open end wrenches with the ratcheting on one side. Not sure exactly what they called? But then, I am no pro mechanic or hardcore DIY for that matter.

You are officially...an old man.

I'm guessing they sell because they (kind of) look the same and those buying them don't realize that the brand is now cheap Chinese junk.

I would add to your list, replacement lug nuts that don’t have the stamped covers on them.

You can thank me later.

But I like the finished look of the chrome cladded lug nuts! That is until someone uses the wrong socket and messes them up.

One of my two 22mm deepwell sockets was 1 1/2" deep from Advance. 19 & 21MM were just over one inch.

Pulled an old New Britian 13/16ths six point deep well from way back in the box. 2 1/2" hex depth using the depth gauge.

Are deep impact sockets deeper than traditional? I am too lazy to go out to the garage to compare 😋

Based on my sample of one regular early 1990's Craftsman 21mm impact socket, I would say yes. It was just under 5/8" depth on the internal hex. The newer deep well sockets are mostly just over an inch.

I hate not having a the proper socket so now I'm driving myself crazy trying to find a true deep well socket!
Short answer...Made in Chiner..

I have sets of craftsman non impact sockets I bought in the late 80's, all the deep sockets are hex nearly to the full depth. My metrics are 12 point and standard are 6 point.

They actually make a 21.5mm socket for swollen nuts!
