I had a good experience using BaT. I put in a lot of work to get the car and everything ready to sell. The BaT editor I was assigned was good to work with. I got the money wired to my account and said I will wait at least 3 days before the car goes on the carrier. No issues.

How would I sell an old 911 these days? By getting ready to celebrate a windfall when those iconic rectangular taillights are small dots on the horizon. No one saw these crazy numbers coming ten years ago.
Can it last or will it be the Hemi Cuda of the 'aughts? Only time will tell. Click your heels together because easy street is on the horizon.

These cars go through cycles - even the 80's Turbos are cooling. Like most things the collectors tend to gravitate to the beginning or end of the cycles. So the 1975/76 Turbos bring money as do the 1989 with the g-50.
I remember the insane numbers the muscle cars were getting several years ago. Majority of those have declined - although the icon cars of that area still hold value.

P car market might be worth checking out also , Stuff seems to be pretty hot there .
Im ready to sell the turbo car now. I do not want the hassle of BAT. I will probably advertise here, and P car market, and also on Marketplace and just weed through the bull**** . I reached out to a few brokers and I think they lowballed me by about 30 %. Im wiling to leave some money on the table for a clean cash transaction so I am in the same boat as you . Timely thread . Things sure have changed

Man, whatever happened to a handshake deal? Every car I sell comes with a contract, all sales final, no warranty, buyer can have the car inspected at their cost, yada yada.
When I bought my Cayman GTS, went to the credit union with the seller, money changed hands, then the keys changed hands. I'd start with Pelican and not sell to anyone with < 100 posts

There are plenty of ways to protect yourself on the transaction if you sell it yourself. You either do the work yourself and deal with the hassles, and maximize your $$. Or you pay someone else to deal with the headaches and the risk. That comes with a cost.
You even have multiple data points that confirm the going rate for a consignment sale. The information is there, make the decision.
