Hwy driving, my S2000 gets about 27-29 mpg but if I get into V tech often, the mileage drops to about 22. Sure is fun and the thing corners very well. All stock, no fart can.

My Prelude gets about the same mpg. Its been about 20 years since I checked it.

When I installed the nitrous kit...I needed better exhaust flow. So, I removed the cat and ran the exhaust straight from the engine to a muffler. The Greddy was the best sounding one I could find...but the clearance under the back end is very minimal.
(next muffler will be a flat one)

Weird thing happened tonight.....

Took the Prelude to meet some friends at a bar/grill. Arrived and sat in the car for a few minutes with the stereo playing and checking my phone emails. Saw the friends entering the place and hurried to catch up.

Two hours later, when leaving, I found no keys in my pocket. Went to the Prelude and noticed music playing from a car length away.

I had left the car unlocked with the keys in the ignition...with the stereo playing at a good volume for the whole time!

It started right up....the Everstart battery did it's job.

Its alright, as long as it performs well. I dislike looking and listening to them, but understand why.

I have Arkapovic Ti exhaust system and stock mufflers on my 987.2 S along with a mild tune (Cobb). The thing is a rocket ship. I gained about 30 hp but the shift points are much better making it feel so much faster then it really is. oh yeah, PDK baby. Its just a bit throaty, but not bad at all that it become bothersome. I can have a normal conversation while driving. Wife even rides in it.

Bone head

Did the same thing in college. Running late to class, parked about 3/4 mile away in some residential street. Grab my paper and hauled ass down to class. When I got the the end of the block on my way home, only to discovered I have no car keys. Walked to my Celica, and the damn thing was running the whole time. Lost half tank of gas. I was pissed about the lost gasoline because I was damn poor. It was a 1.80 per gallon then.

The local car thieves probably thought it was a trap and left it alone.

Agree.

I think I was so absorbed in my phone that I forgot about the car being on.
I normally don't lock my cars anyway when in the local area...there is virtually no crime in my area.

Garage
Glad it wasn't stolen. Around here it would have been.

Sorry to have missed your scratch post. That Chemical Guys stuff is good. Their black vinyl protectant has saved our CR-V.
