Garage
It's been 4 Months Since........

We moved into our new (to us) house.......

The only claim I care about is the Garage.....

The wife had free reign on the rest of the house..... new floors, new carpet, new paint, crown molding through out house, new kitchen, new bathrooms, recessed lighting, decorating, etc etc etc a lot to list.... blah blah blah..... she has great taste so I don't care what she did in the decor or design of the house.......

But the garage..... Ahhh the garage is where I draw the line......

I'm almost done...........

Here is an update......... getting closer to final result. (not that anyone asked)

Garage
It's been 4 Months Since........

My wife has free reign for the decor of the house. Furniture, to the paint on the walls and flooring. She lets me have some automotive related items in my office in the corner of the house.

The garage is MINE, mine mine. I do let her park her Macan in the middle bay. She stores a few small items for her tropical fish aquarium in front of her car. I have a bathroom in my garage, and the toilet seat remains up! The garage walls are fully sheet-rocked, painted and so is the ceiling. All insulated, with a heater and an air conditioner I can run as needed.

Yours is looking nice. Get lots of Porsche posters!

GH85Carrera...... nice! a bathroom? ooohhh i like the idea! and the seat up? nice!!!!!

This new house has converted crawl space into storage space throughout the house so she can store all her holiday stuff and her stuff anywhere she wants..... not the garage! hahahaha. she doesnt care, plenty of space for her.

I also added about 700 square feet above the garage for my storage space, it was all just empty wasted space, so I had my contractor built it out........ I've used about 15% of the available space up there......

I'm a happy guy.

If anyone adds a bathroom to the garage, you may also want to include a small shower.

Good stuff, Pre-H2O. The garage is much improved, although you skipped the best part in the video, the little black car. With that parked in the garage, who notices anything else!

Good job, that's a big improvement!

Can't have too much storage space, money, shoes or horsepower

Nice!

While we are renting the house we bought in SC to tenants, it does not have a garage and it is in the "historic district" (which is really nice, btw).

I've got business in Alabama at the end of the month and I'll be meeting with an architect to figure out the way forward with how this can all work.

I am going to have to be clever. I have more workshop space and storage now than you can imagine so I've been lazy.

I can't imagine the downsizing you're going to have to do when you move, Seahawk. I don't envy you that task at all.
Like George Carlin used to say the stuff you have expands to fill the house you live in, or something like that.

Funny how a little epoxy and some cabinets really dress things up. I don't even get to claim my garage! But I have a 30X50 shop and a 40x72 barn that are all mine. When my wife talks about them I just say "Nope! Those are my spaces." And she gets what I'm saying.
